It's God spelled backwords because, well, they're that special.

DOG is an animal. GOD is spelled the opposite of DOG b/c the o is in the middle and in DOG the D n the G are on either side. in GOD the D n the G are also on either side, only opposite of that of DOG. most likely, its just a coincidence. either that...or dogs are demons....JK

I think the spelling is just a coincidence, and that weird backwards spelling does not occur in every lang. In Spanish dog is perro and God is Dios.

A dog is technically a male canine, the female of the species being a bi*ch. The spelling is a coincidence.

Dog has four legs and hair, and God is not the 'opposite' of dog. It's just spelled in reverse, and I don't want your camera, I have 2 of my own. Thanks anyway.

no it is not a coincidence mankinds words often derive from greek terminology. there are lots of words that are spelled backwards that have the same coincidences such as tan is nat racecar spelled backwards is racecar
