You can't. Just enjoy it, she loves you.

She adores you, you silly thing! They are clingy for a reason. Is it really so bad, that you can't just let her? I also believe cats are very in-tune with human beings, and she partly has a really special bond with you, and she also is prob looking for some affection. Is she an abandoned cat that you've adopted? Or is she bored - because there isn't much to do outdoors or other cats in the neighbourhood? Better she's like this than you are wondering where she is all the time and worrying she is going to come back injured from scrapping or worse still be worrying about her running in front of cars all day. She sounds a sweet cat, give her some attention - are you giving her enough food? Also - on the score of bonding with you, are you okay at the moments. Cats detect human needs very well. She may just sense you need a bit of love @the mo. Take it easy hun.

If you leave her alone for long periods then she will follow you cos she's been lonely and wants your attention, if not is she a rescue cat. Some rescue cats are very aware of their past and if they have been abandoned they will be scared that you will abandon them like someone did before.
If you get upset and angry with her this only confuses and scares her and makes her follow you even more.
At the end of the day your her mummy, she looks to you for everything, she doesn't know that she's irritating you.
Try reassuring her when you leave her or playing with her, spending individual one on one time will stop her feeling needy and make her feel loved.

That's what cats do chica. Contrary to popular belief, cats are social animals, not loners. They follow their mother or oldest female sibling around. If none is available, they follow their female owner around. You could try getting another cat to provide companionship but that most likely will result in two cats following you around.

Cats are actually quite needy. They will sleep on your head, jump in the warm spot when you get up off the couch, want to share your food, walk across the keyboard while you type or lay on your book while you read, cry if you close the door to take a shower and a whole bunch of annoying stuff. They constantly need you to spend time with them.

Luckily, all this behavior fixates on females. They tend to ignore your boyfriend unless he is feeding or petting them.

It may want food. Or it just simpley loves you alot and wants to show it. Its nothing bad. Whenever you get up from sitting give her a stroke for a minute take a few steps and stroke her again. Do this all of the time it'll get reassured but still do this. If it doesn't work after 3 months then it wont. Don't worry its perfectly normal, and very sweet when you think about it!

Please don't feel that way. She loves you very much and just wants to be near you. I lost my little friend today. His name was Cisco and he always followed me around.

Cisco was with me for seven years. Each day I woke up to his little face and the sounds of his spirit. I knew from the beginning that he was special as he stole my heart from the moment I held him.

So when your little Millie follows you around, you should feel good inside because she loves you so much.

Please give her a hug and tell her how much you love her. Trust me, she will will understand.

Mine follow me around when they want feeding so feed her. Even if you are her are you giving her enough? (some cats are like humans - some need a little more than others). Maybe she wants a drink because another one of mine does that until I give him a jug of water that he laps from (he won't go near the one in the kitchen - weird!).

Why does it bother you?

Your cat loves you and trusts you. You should be happy to have such a loving cat, and not one which is aloof.

Other than scaring you cat and losing its trust and love I don't know how you could stop it. Maybe get it a toy, but normally cats like to have some one to play with, not just a toy by itself

=^..^=

Well if you want her to stop following you, you should find her something that she can do. Like a mouse toy filled with catnip or a new friend like another cat.

Play and give attention to Millie. Animals can sense things and probably can see you are annoyed with her and is trying to gain your affection.
