You would have to remove the excess carbon dioxide from the air in order to reduce the greenhouse effect on the planet.

Water combines with Carbon Dioxide to form Carbonic Acid (H2CO3). This is how CO2 is naturally disposed.

However, our oceans are becoming more acidic according to recent studies. We need to find a way of stripping the carbon off of the Oxygen molecule in a cost effective manner in order to have any hopes of reversing Global Warming effects.

I think there is one thing that most people can agree on and that is that the earth does go through warm and cold cycles. My dad said that when he was a kid that lots of people were freaking out because they thought the next ice age was coming. That was a cooling cycle that lasted between 1940-1970. Since that time temperatures have trended more to the warm side and now we have people saying that the ice caps are going to melt.

Alot of the modeling that is being used right now doesn't even scratch the surface of measuring the atmosphere properly either. The models are getting better, but have a long way to go. Heck, we can't even forecast the weather tomorrow, how are we supposed to say we know whats going to happen 10 years from now.

With all of that being said I don't think we should wantonly abuse the environment. The earth is the home for humanity, no one likes to live in a dirty home. Plus there are many advantages to exploring new technologies that advance mankinds understanding of the world while being environment friendly. There is room for both.

Until we know what is actually causing glabal warming, we cannot envision a solution. The most viable candidate of theories is orbital precession. This has to do with the tilt of the Earth on its axis. It is not at a constant tilt. The Earth rotates on its axis much like a toy top does, with a wobble. Global temperatures have been on the rise since we've been recording temperatures, a brief, insignificant fraction of time in relation to the age of the Earth. I, personally am not convinced of global warming. There is too much speculation and it is difficult to cut through the crap and get real facts.

The "myth" of Global warming by Al Gore's definition is just that a myth based on junk science.

Temperatures vary minimally in localized areas due to human habitation but globally the impact of normal solar cycles are more of an impact then anything else. Can we stop the earth from it's 180,000 orbital wobble? no.

Fact is the earth temperature has fluctuated from 2000F to -200F over the last 4.6 billion years, globally we are in a cool period compared to the Jurassic.. Technically we are in an interglacial period. We are about 10,000 years into that period. When glaciation occurs again it's unlikely that idiot environmental whackjobs will be able to do anything about that either..

Stopping global warming is easy. We use the money that we get by selling overpriced petrol products to invest in smear campaigns that try to discredit scientists. Eventually, all the fools will forget there was ever even the phrase "global warming". Simple.

Unfortuately we cannot stop it. It has started, and it will continue to grow until another force it triggers balences the effects. We had a global warming period about 1000 years ago. It won't wipe out all life on earth, it just means we'll have to adjust for a while.

You don't really need Florida, right?

For the idiots who do not believe global warming is occuring, see the website below. It is NOT a forecast model, it is actual data from the time of the first reliable temperature measurements to today (around 150 years).

For the rest of you, how can we stop it. Well we can't, because of all the idiots. So drive your car, fly to your holiday, turn up the aircon - why should you suffer hardship to save idiots.

Environmental action groups/scientist say they are pleased that some people made climate change a top issue but are disappointed at the cynicism of the society.

A deal on reducing greenhouse gasses was always unlikely, because President George Bush of the USA would not support it. We could transforming the way we use energy

Powering a cleaner future
Promoting research and development
Financing the transition to cleaner energy
Managing the impact of climate change
Tackling illegal logging
Transforming the way we use energy

The leaders promised to act with "resolve and urgency" to reduce the gas emissions - but they set themselves no targets or timetables.

We can't, unless we can stop the sun from shining.
Understand: the earth goes through warming a cooling phases--it's a natural thing. It appears that we are in a warming phase.
So, you can disregard the words of people such as "Alarmist Al" Gore, who blame "global warming" on man.

Why are you starting with the assumption that it is happening? and if it is why are you assuming that it is caused by humans. Only 30 years ago scientists claimed that we were in a state of global cooling and that we should spread ash on the polar ice caps to help heat up the earths atmosphere.
