These are all warnings about how bad life will be if the Israelites reject God. Their enemies will triumph over them, God will not help them and they will starve. The reference to cannibalism is to emphasize how bad the starvation will be if God stops helping them.

we are responsible for teaching our children their behaviors. What we teach them will come back to haunt us so we have to be careful. The friends we hang out with also can haunt us. People stereotype us by the crowd we hang out with. this doesn't mean that we will actually eat their bodies. Flesh is what is produced in the situations we have to handle. "You are what you eat." don't mean this literally.

The children Will pay for the parents transgressions. They Will reap the harvest for seeds they have sown or not sown in there children. If they turn away from God this may be their fate.
