Please help me draft an email notifying co-workers of another co-worker's spouse's death?

I (or we) regret to inform you that
EMPLOYEE'S WIFE NAME
passed away on DATE.

FIRST NAME OF DECEASED died (suddenly in her home/after a long illness/ etc.).

Our thoughts and prayers are with EMPLOYEE NAME and family.

Funeral services will be held on DATE, TIME.
(include info if staff is invited, and also if there is any remembrance charitable donation they can make).

there is no good way so you may as well be blunt.

if you are a very large group ,You should put something that identifies what dept the co worker or what the co worker's job is in if there is a chance someone you may be mailing does not know the co worker .

as an example of what you might include.

John Doe husband of Jane Doe in accounting died Sunday July 9Th in a car accident. please help us express our deepest sympathy's to Jane. You may Stop by my desk (my secretary's) desk to sign the sympathy card or ask about the funeral details

Do you have to do this by email? Something like should be done in a meeting or something.

A group voicemail would be 100% better.

Please can you find a friend to tell the person, in person. Death is so hard, the person does not need to be alone apon recieving the sad news.
