...why did he create AIDS, the tsunami, let the Holocaust occur, let the Red Sox win, OJ get off, or any other bad thing happen? It would make more sense to me that there could be a God, just not an omniscient being that controls the universe. Otherwise God would be a merciless tyrant, not a compassionate creator. You cannot have it both ways. If He created everything, then He holds responsibility for everything. Judeo-Christian dogma could not possibly hold any truth unless their God is a spiteful, mean one.

that is S. Sorry for the lengthy answer. that is the second one area of my answer. >that is style of a separate question, yet shouldn't all people be going to Heaven? If God is sweet, as Christians believe, and if he's omniscient because the Bible says, then why might want to he assume us to believe in his existence? idea in His existence is irrelevant (James 2:19). What concerns is that you repent (Acts 17:30, Luke 13:a million-5). >It doesn't make sense to me why a mass assassin who turns to Christianity might want to get into Heaven over a Muslim who's actively thinking community provider initiatives and can provide up themselves to people. that's a conventional false impression. we do not understand if the mass assassin convert will bypass to heaven or not. As for Muslims, a million Cor. 5:13 and a million Samuel 16:7. also evaluate Matt. 16:27. Does God pay off good deeds with incorrect? >purely a ill God would enable a killer in over a range hearted individual who practices a diverse faith, that is undeniable. Ah, yet He does seem for people to save. What does it earnings Him if He purely seems if you're already accurate status with Him (i.e. some Muslims)? evaluate Acts 17:26-27, Psalm 14:2, and Matthew 18. What He seems for in a guy is favor. If that mass assassin shows favor for Him, yet has a twisted mind-set, yet focuses on God, God will intrude. there's a distinction between concepts and spirit. See a million Cor. 2:11 and interest 32:7-9 and evaluate Isaiah fifty seven:15-16 and Gal. 5:16-17.

well He inflicted AIDS upon homosexuals because they're an abomination (to Christians), and OJ and the Red Sox just proves He has a sense of humor. Now the tsunami was just plain mean. And the holocaust, I don't even want to go there . . .

Just because you call it Judeo-Christian religion doesn't mean we believe the same things.
I can't speak for all Jews because we don't have a creed, and most of us have two opinions about everything.
Personally, I don't believe in pre-destination. Nature happens! God doesn't decree a natural disaster in order to make people suffer. He created nature and lets it take its course. If people choose to live on an earthquake fault, flood zone, etc. that's the choice they make; they must be willing to suffer the consequences.
Life is a series of choices. If we make the right choices, we reap the benefits here on earth and hopefully in the world to come -- if there is one. When we make poor choices, we suffer the consequences in this life and again in the world to come.
Choose LIFE!

If He created everything and you are kicking against Him, how smart are you being?
Get on His side, you still might get AIDS, but at least you will be blessed through eternity.
That kind of answers your question too. That these things were reasons on why to come to Him. Because those other things we can not do much about. He can.
He wants us to rely on Him.

Are you that shallow to think God created all that death and destruction ? God allowed it to happen , but He didn't create it . Satan is the prince of the power of the air and he is loose on this earth creating havoc and destroying and killing . He is being allowed to roam free for a while then God will crush him under His feet . Believe on the Lord Jesus and be saved . Read your Bible , it will enlighten you on all .

God uses those things to show humans how much he loves them. What's more powerful? A hug or Nazi death camp? He wants you to know he loves you, so he makes it really obvious by torturing you.
By the way, the Red Sox won because Bill Buckner sold his soul to Satan so that everyone would forget who he was.
