Uncle because he is the brother of his Mom or second cousin if he your grandson was from a different parents

well if your grandson and grandaughter are brother and sister that would make your grandson an uncle.but if your grandaughter and grandson are 1st cousins the would make your grandson a 2nd cousin of the child i think.

Assuming that your grandson and granddaughter are cousins and not brother & sister, i would say that the 2 males are second cousins or first cousins-once removed.

If your grandson is your grandaughter's brother, then he is the uncle.
