Bring one gallon of water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and add four 1 qt. "family" size tea bags and let it steep in the pot of water for about 5 - 7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea. Remove the tea bags and stir 1 to 1.5 cups of sugar into it until dissolved. Pour the tea into a pitcher filled with ice. Refrigerate.

We make ours by boiling water (enough to fill a jug), add in about a dozen regular size tea bags and dissolve sugar. I put a LOT personally. My fam is from the south and we like our sweet tea SWEET. LMAO. Pretty much do it as you would a cup of hot tea, but in a larger quantity. Afterward just refrigerate.

Put water and tea bags in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.

Strain or carefully press water from tea bags.
Put hot tea solution into a gallon pitcher and add sweetener, stirring to dissolve.
Add water to pitcher to fill.

Boil 2 Lipton tea bags in a pot of water. Fill our jug, (usually a gallon) with water. When tea's done boiling, add it to jug. Then add 2.5 cups of sugar, and about 3 drops of lemon extract. Stir and you have sweet tea.

I use 5 or 6 teabags (with a coffee filter) and brew the tea using a coffee machine. Brew just one pot full, pour it in a gallon pitcher. Add about a cup and half of sugar (for sweet, sweet tea) or less to taste. Stir it up. Then add cold water to the pitcher to make it about 3/4 full. Stir again. Voila! Sweet tea!
You can also boil your tea on the stove... just be sure not to boil it on high or your teabags will break... disgusting.

my favorite sweet tea is sun tea. I use Tetley tea bags, 7 of them to a gallon glass tea pitcher...fill that up with water and the tea bags, set it out in the sun for 3-5 hours. then bring it inside and stir in about 2 cups of sugar. Put it in the fridge and your all set!
