It's packed full of carbs, and preteins and water. Isn't that the same thing in energy drinks of today?

Some would say it is.

The beer called "Porter" is called that because porters (strong men who would carry your property around town) drank it as their lunch! Unfiltered beer (homebrew or from a brew-pub) contains lots of B vitamins, same as an energy drink. Beer is full of carbohydrates for energy. Think of it as liquid bread.

The alcohol, of course, makes you want to play instead of working. Alas.

Yes It is the original energy drink, the Romans gave their slaves beer instead of bread, because it didn't go bad and has enough calories to sustain human life.

But NO it isn't the same as Red Bull, No bull hormone or uppers. just booze.

I think this is true because when you drink beer in good amounts you feel like you can run for miles, or at least I do. It also leads to dancing which is good for you. Man, beer is a drink fit for gods.

Yes, because it was around before all the nancy-boy drinks that try to take the place of beer in the food pyramid

Energy drinks have stimulants in them. Beer has alcohol - a depressant.

The stereo-typical energy drink consumer is lean and athletic.

The stereo-typical beer consumer is fat, rowdy, and lives in a trailer park with his drug addicted mother.
