His image literally and spiritually. Jesus probably looked like you and me - or rather a typical eastern mediterranean male from 2000 years back - and Jesus is God's only begotten son.

God means that creating us in his image gives us the opportunity to be like his son and attain everlasting life in heaven.

It's a process, getting closer to God, it needs time and devotion and lots of spirit filled "God moments"

- its sooo much fun ..
God bless you

I don't necessarily think that image means looks. It could be anything, but I think it is meant in the spiritual, rather than the physical. If were were all made in God's image wouldn't we all look exactly the same?

I feel that we have created a God with our image. We constantly try to ascribe human qualites to God who cannot be contained.

I believe that God is the formless, genderless omnipotent energy source which is the process of life itself.

God can take any form God wishes, but generally has no specific form. That would be limiting God, who cannot be limited.

God as a human is Jesus, the Son. Bearing the image of God refers to more than just appearance if you read the context in the Bible that this refers to.

One theory would support the idea that the human body was changed in some ways in distinction to the immortal body that was human before. The human body changed into something that was mortal, physically.

So I imagine that there are some differences in the physical appearance and function of the human body that we are familliar with, from the one that was supposed to be before sin entered.

Other than that, I think that we a similar, but not the same.

Because the authors of the bible lacked any creativity come up with something better for God's appearance than "He looks like us" If God exists, I guarentee you He doesn't look human.

I think that refers to a spiritual image. Being good, kind, forgiving, and mercyful.

No, I do not believe the human race has lived up to that. Not even close.

I am a work in progress. It speaks of the essence of us. Our spiritual being,no our physical body.Others are able to see the God image in us by the example we set(our actions). Peace.

I think sin changed us. We use to look like God before sin. I imagine we must look like ugly trolls now compared to God.
