I would not suggest buying a 4 cylinder, my mom has one thats a 2005, and when she is driving it it sounds normal hardly hear it, but when I take it for a drive the engine is heard a lot becuase it dosn't have enough power. I don't know the gas mileage on the 6 cylinder but the 4 cylinder gets a good one. When we bought the car brand new in the summer I filled it up and got 315 miles in the citybefore we filled it up again. Last year we were going to canada and we got 425 on a tank and still wasn't empty all the way.

I dont know of you are aware of this -- there is a "Caravan" and a "Grand Caravan" - pretty much the same vehicle, except that the latter is about a foot longer, and you can only get rear heaters and A/C in the Grand. Also, you can't get the seats that fold in the floor in the regular Caravan.

For the money, Dodge puts out a good reliable minivan that I think you would be happy with. I haven't heard any complaints. The vehicle has been around a long time, along with the engines, and have a proven track record.

Don't get the 4 cylinder engine isn't worth it - severly underpowered, and there is no real fuel savings when it has to strain to move 7 passengers. the 3.3L and 3.8L v-6's are both good engines, and have plenty of power to move, and both get good mileage, and have been around for a while, so serviceability and parts availability is great.
