He's my pastors son. My mom likes him, and I think his parents like me. We've known each other for over a year and have been fliritng for a couple of months. I dont even want to have sex until I'm married (he's not that type either). He's real cool, and nice...i cant stop thinking about him. What do you think?

I think he sounds great! The age difference will make no difference as long as he doesnt constantly go out to bars, etc... He doesnt seem like that type of guy either. I think you should let him make the first move towards taking it further than the "just friends" status. Try not to get your heart broken though. Sometimes it may seem like a guy is flirting when he is just being friendly. You should hint at it a little though...things will come together if its meant to be, show him that you are mature and can handle dating an older guy. Just be careful! Goodluck!!!

Kimberly - if your heart doesn't have a problem with it, then go to your parents. You seem to have enough of a relationship with them that you could approach one of them to ask if they had a problem if you start seeing the pastor's son in a date type scenario. My mom generally respected my choices, but preferred that I do group dates until I was about 18. With his age, that might not be something he wants to do, but talking it all out with those involved will help you a lot more than talking and listening to random people on a website. Even me.

Wow, that sounds like me, the only things is the guy I like is 4 years older than me too, and Im not sure if that's too old or not, I think that you should get to know him better before you guys start dating, but it sounds all good to me. =)

Invite him & his parents over to your house when your mom's home for dinner & a rented movie. That way his parents & your parents get to know each other & you two can get to know each other too. Ah, young love; enjoy it :o)

seems like you already have what you are going to do in your head. so just get on with it. you dont need our approval to date him. as long as both parents know about it then go for it.

I think you should try to get together with him...you obviously have feelings for him :-)....Is it age you're worried about? I don't think it really affects things. Hope it goes well if you get with him.
