Date, yes. But he has to meet your parents first. Sex, no.

Honey there is absolutely nothing in common between a 16 year old girl and a 21 year old man... If you are into sex then that is exactly what this guy is trying to do. If he is interested in you then you need to tell him that when you are 18 that you just might be interested.

It is illegal for a 21 year old man to date a 16 year old girl You are not 17 until your birth date so you are still 16. He can also go to jail for a very long time if he has sex with you... Believe me that is what is on his mind. It is called child molestation. This could ruin his life for the rest of his life... 21 year old males are not anything like a 17 or 18 year old males. So you need to stay away from this man...

If he is really interested in you he will wait until you are 18 to make his move for you...

When I was your age I liked guys that were that much older than me too. It rarely turned out to be a good thing getting involved with someone that much older. The old saying that age doesn't matter doesn't apply in this situation. Not when you are a teenager. This guy is an adult. Are you sure that he is 21 and not older than that? He may only want to get involved with someone your age strictly for sexual purposes. Use you and discard you. Dating someone that much older you would have to more than likely lie to your parents about where you are, etc. This puts you at high risk for him to commit a violent crime against you. Some men can seem to be the perfect guy and the sweetest person till they get you alone. The right person will come along for you....don't rush things.....and don't do anything that you will regret later. Stay safe.

No.

A 21 year old man has nothing in common with a 16 year old girl. So conversation is out and so is the meeting of the minds on where to go for dates. If he is on your level (21 going on 16) then he's slow for his age and may not have all his marbles. Do you like to date retards? i don't think so. Or then again he may just want a teeny bopper sex toy and then I can deifnately see bars and metal bracelets in his future.

Depending on what state you live in it might not be legal. (In many states it is legal so check it out)

When you're 21 and hes 25 the age difference wont be a big deal. But right now it is, since you are only 16. If you two want to start a friendship thats fine, but I'd be cautious about dating him until you're a little older.

It's actually not against the law, but it isn't a good idea. In a year or so he will be over the younger girl faze. That's all you are to him a faze. A silly little time in his life when he wasn't thinking straight. And for all you people saying it is illegal, it's not.By law the legal age of consent is 14, but as long as the age difference isn't huge like 6 years I think. But she is 17, they would have no problem.

Date when you turn 17. Before tat, it is statutory rape in NY, if anything should;d happen by accident. Also, it's important to get to know someone for a while before leaping into the sack, so start dating 4-6 weeks before you turn 17. He'll expect sex....if you are not ready to go all they away, date someone else. He's adult aged, you are not.

No. There's quite a bit of mental development that happens in those four years. If he's interested in someone who's 17, he's probably incapable of handling a relationship with his mental peers. That or he never developed past the age of 17 himself. Both would be bad.

it is perfectly legal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
16 is the age of consent.
but the only way that even matters is if you are having sex!!!!!!
but you have to be careful.
he may expect more then you want to give.
and if you don't know him well, he might be the type to force it if you aren't willing.
please be carefull.
but only you can decide who you do and don't want to date.

personly though, I would suggest more around 18-19.

girls are usually naturally more mature faster than guys, so the guy should be a little older.
you just have to be carefull and judge by personality and not age.

Well...my boyfrend will be 20 next month and I turn 17 in October. Go with your heart. If You feel that you can see past his age and just have fun with him and be with him then do it. But if the age really bothers you then don't date him. You also have to consider what your parents would think. Mine took it as a big shock but now they love my Boyfriend to death.
