I am in a argument with a friend who suggests Israel has no capability of attacking Iran. I say they have done it in the past(Iraq) and they are certainly capable of doing it again. With the threats that are made by Iran to eliminate Israel would it not be suicide for Israel to allow Iran to gain use of these weapons?

If Israel attack any Muslim countries they're gonna have it from all of the Muslim countries. From what I remember Syrian will retaliate. Of course Israel has that capabilities to launch missile, but its suicidal to do. Israel is going to be the front line, if anything happens to Iran. Read this link and you'll see whats going on.

It's not only possible it's probable. The way Iran is pulling the dummy of the US and the UN, Israel will more than likely take things upon themselves to resolve the Iran problem. Hell, their national security is more at risk than any body's, why would they wait.
The delay tactic that Iran is currently using makes me highly suspicious of their real intent. My imagination has taken a coarse that I don't like thinking about, however I should air it out.
I believe Iran, along with N.Korea, China and Russia have a plan to attack the US. None would do it by themselves but there is courage in numbers. I see no point in waiting for that to happen. I see no advantage to wasting any more time with this UN nonsense. It is time we prepared ourselves for a down and dirty, get them before they get us situation. Iran and N.Korea can be gone in a day, if we put our mind to it. Ar least by doing that, China and Russia will no longer have their surrogates to hide behind. If they want a piece of us then, they will have to come out and say so.

Hi, frank c, my name is Hank. Hands down, in a pre-emptive strike Israel would kick butt.
It's more than feasible. If Iran keeps on keepin' on, Israel will tire of the threat, and then they will make their move. I think the only reason they haven't already done it is because of Sharon's demise.
Before Sharon had his brain freeze there was talk about Israel making a strike in early March. Your friend, by the way, is delusional. Yes it would be suicide for Israel to sit back and do nothing about Iran and its potential to create nukes.

Very easily. Would barely be a challenge. Any response from Iran would result in Iran's complete military being wiped out. So it would be best for Iran to accept it and think back - why did we waste our money on building this? If the other Arab countries try and respond again Israel in the form of military action they will just be making the same mistake they (the Arabs) made in 1967.

Yes Israel could do a preemptive strike, and Israel is very capable of successfully doing some serious damage. This is the reason that Iran has just been about words. In my opinion I think people should be darn lucky Israel has used the constraint that it has. They are mean and deadly serious when they are unleashed. This is not a secret to anyone.

Israel does have the capability to hit Iran. Their Air Force is equipped with powerful versions of USA F-15, F-16 and F-4 fighter jets which is equipped with the latest Israeli and USA smart weapons. Provided that Israel has the locations of most of the Iranian nuclear facilities (they are generally known and in the public view)...then they can hit them with a fair chance of success. Whether Iran can defend itself against an attack remains to be seen...but in my honest opinion it has better chances (on paper) than Saddam in the 1986 Osirak strike.

Israel has an excellent air force and could absolutely annihilate Iran's nuclear capabilities. Israel has done it before - in Iraq, I believe. Anyway, with that lunatic in Iran spouting existential threats to Israel, I believe they would be completely justified in attacking Iran.
