Chamomile tea WITH lemon juice and sunlight actually works. it's subtle, but it works. brew the tea much stronger than you would if you were actually drinking it. Then add lots of fresh lemon juice (don't forget to strain or else your hair will have bits of lemon in it!).
Henna dye is also a natural product that has the same effect - definitely sold in health food stores, but you can probably find it in Target nowadays...

o dear .. lemon juice is the safest ... but peroxide , sun-in , bleach is really really really bad for ur hair .. even more if ur hair is curly ... all those products really dry your hair up and will cause frizz and breakage ... getting a couple highlights in the salon will not cost you that much and can make a difference .. when u call ask how much it would cost for up to 10 foilsand when u get there tell the stylist you just want them around ur hairline and a couple on top .. which will give u a sun kissed look ... its not that expensive .. and it is better to have someone who is trained doing this than an at home kit (dangerous) .. the highlights will brighten over time too .. so good luck dont use sun-in .... it will break ur hair off and look brassy or red .... not pretty

Because you do not want to burn your skin, I suggest swimming laps in the pool four a half hour in the morning and another in the afternoon, with some sun screen on. A mixture of the sun, chlorine, and the water should start doing the trick and result will start to show in a couple of weeks. The best part is not only will your hair lighten evenly and beautifully, you will be in great shape in no time at all!

Put lemon juice in a spray bottle - about a 1/2 cup to 2 cups water. Spray on your hair until damp, then let it dry in the sun.
Don't use bleach unless you like skin and scalp irritation.

Streak your hair the natural way. Add lemon to strands of hair and sit in the sun for fifteen minutes. Do this sparingly because it could damage dry hair.

lay out in the sun, that should lighten it, i'm blonde and one year i played water polo and did swimming and my hair was almost white, so that should work but use sun screen to prevent skin cancer
