Personal Choice. The question is how secure are you in this relationship. It would be quite different if while you were together, he went out and got a tattoo of his ex. Then I would have some concerns. If he already has the tattoo, and he refuses to cover it or have it removed, it doesn't necessarily mean that he still has feelings for his ex, but that is not as important as the ball being in your court. What are you going to do? If the tattoo is on his chest, it seemingly would be covered most of the time.

Additional Details*******************************************

If I were interested in the person, I would give the relationship time. If it grows, he may change his mind. Why should he make such a move if you are going to be together for a short time and then he moves on.

This is why dating is such a bad idea. Dating prepares you for divorce. Courtship prepares you for marriage. Why are you in this relationship? You don't have the right to place demands on someone unless they made a commitment to you to that degree. I would question what level of commitment you guys have with each other?

Hopes this helps.

once the relationship gets serious he or she should cover it, if he or she refuses than that means he or she thinks theres still hope of getting back with their x.

He has it there for a reason. He probably has it there as a reminder or as a trophy. If we erase our past how can we learn from our mistakes????
