yes. there is a difference between a true Christian and someone who just claims to be one. One has a true relationship w/ God and the other just pretends or may actually believe the lie and have themselves completely fooled.

Once when I was in Middle School my cousin was being mean to me and told me to 'go to hell.' I responsed with 'why don't you' and she acted all shocked and stuff and was like 'that's not a Christian thing to say to someone!'
Which, of course, was hypocritical cause she had said it to me first and bragged about what a good Christian she was.

I'm not making a point about Christians in general, but this is what this question makes me think off. And it made me come to the conclusion that professing Christian who tells someone to go to hell is a hypocrite. Same thing as cursing someone I think.

Yes they can. There is Life and Death in the tongue. I can bless anyone or I can curse anyone. Really that for anybody. It's the same as a prophet is a man/woman of God who can see things nobody else can, and a physic is a prophet who is using the gift from God in the wrong way.

That is not correct, A Christian will not and should not put curses on anyone or anything for any reason. One thing they do is pray.

A few people who call themselves Christians have done horrid things for the past 2000 years.

Pray for him.

Firstly, a lot of people call themselves something they are not.

I'm sure you and me and most everybody else did that one time or another in our lives.

Its called pretense and it's really just a lie, mostly mixed with ignorance.

A real christian loves his/her neighbour and blesses, not curses.

Also every real christian knows, that others will say bad things sometimes because of jealousy, ignorance, sin, etc. Don't worry, God looks into your heart to determine who you are, actions, not words alone ...

NO! Not really.

It is possible that a roman catholic (they presume to be christians) ,who is also practicing Voodoo (you have to be a catholic to be a member of the voodoo sect), put a cure or whatever on someone.

Of course, said curse can not work unless the recipient believes it will or would.

(A True Christian would know that it will not work on him or her)

Absolutely not. Christians don't put curses on anyone. We forgive and let God's wrath and judgement take over from there.

Putting curses on people in unrealistic. Only God has the power to do miracles. And calling them curses....doesnt sound to christian like.

I guess i all depends on how much faith you have in God. If you REALLY TRULY believe in God then he will forgive and remember...
JESUS LOVES YOU
