my mother told me out of spite. she will not tell me anything more. she wants nothing to do with this at all. she omly told me because i told her she can never keep a secert. i thought i was the 1st. born. I DO KNOW THE FOLLOWING. BORN IN IL, BOY, SHE WAS ABOUT 14 OR 15, JEWISH FAM. MAY ADOPEDED HIM.

Here are some reunion registry websites. Most will let you fill out info as a sibling. You just fill in all the info you have ... and if he knows about you and tries to search, you will be reunited with each other. These and other websites will be able to help you with other ways of searching, also.

I had the exact same problem.
Talk to your father if possible, he may know more than your mother does.
Adoption records are very private and hard to get into even by the mother.
You can try to contact sinnagouges (sp?) [the Jewish church] and see anyone knows of a young man who was adopted into a family _____ years ago.
