Everybody wants what they can't have. And nobody wants what they can have.
If you go for a guy who doesn't particularly want you... he's going to use you and treat you like crap.
But your human nature is to overlook the guy who's crazy about you, and would treat you great...

You, like most women, have bad taste in men. You go for the Alpha males. They are the not the best choice. Yes they put on the best show, but they put on that show, to win the trophy. "YOU"! Once won,on to the next trophy. You should look for the Beta males. Not on the hunt, able to make good decisions under stressful situations. More stable mentally,not egotistical, and relationship wise; a more stable relationship.

maybe god wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.

You probably need to start looking somewhere else. Try not to be attracted to those type of guys anymore. Go for someone you'll never thought about dating.
