To me I dont believe you are a pervert. Im 21 and the man that im in love with is 37. We are both in love with each other and he just asked me to marry him and I said yes. I dont care about his age and he treats me like a queen. And im very independent and I dont rely on him for anything other than his love and his promise to me of happiness. Age doesnt matter as long as you are mentally prepared for the life ahead. So dont feel bad, love is love.

No, being 37 and wanting to marry a 21 year old girl doesn't make you a pervert. Is there another reason you could be a pervert?

Pervert? No. But the age difference is nothing to be ignored in terms of how you will get along when she is that young. 15 years ago I dated a woman who was 25 as I was 42 (17 year difference). We dated for 9 months and she had many immature attitudes. We had to break up. We met again recently, and at 40 she is mature and we are having a very serious and fun time. We'll see how it goes this time.

I wouldn't call you a pervert. You are both adults. However, with a 16 year age difference between you I would definitely recommend that you think long and hard before a commitment like this. Be sure that the reason you want to marry her is because of what you have in common... future goals, interests, how well you communicate, etc.. In other words, be sure you are not interested in marrying her because you have great sex or because you like having her on your arm. Also, be sure of the reasons she wants to marry you. She is fairly young... not as much adult life experience as you and may have certain expectations that even she may not be aware of yet.
Good luck!

No, not a pervert. As long as both over 18 then it doesn't matter. But I don't understand what a 21 y.o. sees in a 37 y.o.

Age gap relationships are more acceptable these days.
You would be if she was under the age of 18, but she is an adult now, and needs to do what is best for her.
Older male, younger female relationships are quite common worldwide especially in eastern europe, and south america. It is only recently that Older women, younger men relationships have been accepted in public light.
My female spouse is 18 years older than me and we have an excellent relationship. It takes extra effort, but the extra effort is what decides success in any relationship regardless of age difference.
You know inside if it is right or not. Go with your heart, and put in the work.

I would say – No.
Being 21 might seem a little young to me, but then women usually mature emotionally faster than men. And, 21 makes her a legal adult. Have you talked this over with her?
Besides, me and my other-half have an 18 year disparity in age (I being the younger), and it’s been working for over 13 years now.

No way man, but why are you looking to us to answer this question? You obviously FEEL like a pervert for some reason. Don't beat you're self up. You are both of age and love knows no boundaries.

Only you know whether or not you are a pervert or not. However, I do believe that men should date women around their own age. Younger woman only want older men for their money and older men only want younger women for sex and bragging rights. But if both of you are happy with that go ahead and use one another. I myself would never sell myself short by dating a older man. And whenI am older I will not sell myself out for a younger man.

That is a significant age difference and I would think long and hard if she is mature enough and how much maturing she still has to do. She may love you now, but will she resent you in 5 years when her friends are still partying and she is married to the "old" guy who just wants to stay home?
