Take deep breaths and try not to worry about more than one thing at a time. If tooooo much is in your brain at once that is stressing you out, you can't possibly think straight. One step at a time. Fix one problem at a time - in whatever order you feel is more important. If you can fix just the smallest of them, that is a little less on your shoulders.

Perhaps determining what is stressing you out would be a good start.

Are you over committed? Working too many hours? Eating poorly? Not getting enough sleep? Boss a slave-driver? Poorly behaved children? No help at home from your partner? Money issues?

Determine the source and work toward a solution. Give it some thought.

I used to experience the same stress as you are and I found the best way to overcome shotting your self because of stress, is to leave work at work and home at home. Use one to ralex you from the other. When you are at work, try to avoid thinking about at home issues, afterall you're at work you cannot do anything to solve anything while you are working. When your at home, same thing. Most jobs wont allow to take work home, so forget it. You should turn your " work mind" off as soon as you clock at the end of your day. By law you get 2 15 breaks during your work day, use them! Even if it is sitting in your car resting your eyes. You might even try to put something on your desk that reminds you of relaxation. Like a picture of the ocean or, if you are allowed, wear headphones and listen to soft soothing music. I have found that my lamp on my desk and my portable fan works to keep me feeling in tune and keeps the air around me moving. Try to focus on your duties for the day. Organize your tasks. make a list of things that needs to be done, at home and in the office. Start at the top and mark off when you have finished. And at home.......you are most likey not the only one who lives there......you are not a slave. Share some of the household chores with kids and your husband. At last , set aside atleast 30 minutes for you. Go somewhere where you are alone and noone can bother you and just relax. Remember evrything will work its way out, no matter what is going on, you will pull thru. Life is only as stressful as you let it be.

Vacations often cause more stress with:
Reserving the hotel, money, what needs to get done before you leave, what you have to do when you get back, etc.

However, I do agree.
Take a break.

Have you had a nice hot bath in a while?
Just sitting in the tub with some nice soothing music?
Have you tried yoga?
Sitting in your room by youserlf just breathing, thinking, and mellowing?
Are there any spas near you?

Take a personal day, in which your only concern is yourself.

you really need to have a little me time
work is work just don,t let it get to you. At home is when you need to find time for yourself
Try taking the long way home scenic route. curl up with a good book after the kids are in bed. Find hobby's the hole family like to do together, a little bonding will help everyone see eye to eye on other things. but you must find time to relax and be a lone

Take some time off from work. Not necessarily need to go on a vacation far away but just get away from work for a few days. I have found that to help me out before.

I know exactly how you feel!! I have fallen into that rut as well. You need to either go on a nice vacation, if you have the money. If you don't, then you should take a day off from work, and take yourself shopping with some friends. :) Or, go out to the movies.. go out to eat! you need to make yourself your focus, for atleast a day.

Find yourself a project to direct these stressful feeling towards. Something athletic maybe, or even something more on the creative side depending on the types of things you enjoy. It maybe that you're just not getting enough "you" time.

you can break your chores up in little tasks, dont worry about getting everything done all at once. take some time out for relaxation and spend a half hour everyday resting so that you can recharge your batteries. And if at all possible take a vacation.
