According to the bible, anyone who denies Jesus and God is considered antichrist.
1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Dittos to Mornings sun.. well said, and well researched. May I add: Ffrom the beginning the spirit of Anti-Christ has been about his fathers business.. There is a man, maybe alive now, who will be known as The Arabian President who will confirm a pact with Isreal for 7 years of peace.. He will be great and looked upon by the world as a god. He will be killed and at that moment he will be possed by the spirit anti-christ and he will be raised from the dead after 3 1/2 days. He will thereafter be the embodiment of Anti-Christ, The Beast. He will enter into the newly constructed temple at Jerusalem and sit upon the new Mercy Seat as god and declare himself to be God, and he will perpetrate the "Abomination That Makes Dessolate", i have no idea what that is,but.. that will begin the Terrible Tribulation and the Rapture will happen at that time. Praise the Living God forever..

The anti Christ is here now- In the form of a new world religion- In the form of a politician. The Anti Christ craves power. The false God wants to be worshiped like God, the false Christ deceives people, making them believe they are following the true Christ/God, they are in fact following an impostor.
I believe the Anti Christ is of coarse a religion that is trying to become a new world religion, that is also producing and involved with politics, that tells the followers if they pay into the church they will be rewarded. I think it is a church founded by a man who read revelations and decided to become the false prophet, for profit.
Of coarse I am speaking of Joseph Smith, the false Prophet, and the LDS church.
Just my personal belief... Based on research of the Bible and history.

I believe the antichrist is alive and walking around on the earth right this very moment. However, I don't believe anyone on earth will be able to identify him until we get much further along on God's time line. I firmly believe the Church will be raptured prior to this event; otherwise, we'd expose him for who he really is prior to the appointed time. 2 Thes. 2:3 reveals the catalyst that will enable him to emerge: a "falling away," or "apostasia," meaning "defection." World-wide apostacy will result in the antichrist's emergance, since his ideas will no longer be restrained by the Holy Spirit-filled Church (2 Thes. 2:6). Some will recognize him for who he really is (new believers) and others will think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Although an impersonal "spirit of the antichrist" has been around since Christ's crucifixion, I believe he'll be an actual person, unlike several of the answerers below. Daniel 9:26 tells us the antichrist ("the prince who is to come") will be decended from those who destroyed "the city and the sanctuary" in AD 70: i.e. the Romans. So be on the lookout for one crafty Italian who hates God!

The letters of John in the bible make clear that "anti-christ" is a way of describing those promoting alternate gospels, and does not refer to a sort of Manicheist "anti-Jesus" of popular concecption.
As to his availability, that would only be an issue for someone wanting to date the anti-christ.

The anti Christ is not a person.
It is a term that is meant to be descriptive of the way certain pseudo Christians pretend to be followers of Jesus. They are a minority, but they are so vocal they drown out the rest.
Jesus always stood for a loving, inclusive, nonjudgmental approach to his fellow man.
The bigot pseudo Christians see their brand of Christianity as an exclusive club from which they judge all others as being unworthy of any fate other than burning in hell.
Their actions are almost the exact opposite of what Jesus Christ taught.
Hence the name antichrist, or opposite of Christ.

I believe the spirit of the anti christ is in the world now. He actually is will come through someone who had died and this spirit enters their body as I would call it a mockery of the Resurrection of Christ since according to the bible, the anti Christ will deceive many by performing miracles just like Christ did.

Some poeple say that the Anti-Christ will come before the real christ. And othrs say that the Anit- Christ will come after. I really depends on what you believe in. If you believe God is the only God then well, when you get to heaven ask him yourself. And if you believe to wroship the Anti-Christ then yes he probably is around because the Anti-Christ was around since Jesus' death.

Anti Christ has been around since after Christ died, and many have appeared. Some call themselves the Christ and they have followers.
The major Anti-Christ is yet to appear which will deceive many. If you don't know how the Real Jesus Christ will appear, then YOU WILL BE DECEIVED!
Revelations 1:6-7
7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
2 Thessalonians 1:7-10
7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-17
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Jesus will ressurect the dead in Christ, those who believed in him and did his will. He will raise the dead first, then raise those who are alive. And we will meet him in the Clouds.
If an Impersonator comes another way, then he is not the Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:50-55
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
