Not voluntarily, but if given the opportunity most Mexicans (i.e. individual people) would become Americans. After the Mexican-American War, the Treaty of 1848 allowed anyone in the territory that changed hands to choose which nation they wanted to be a part of; very few chose to return to Mexican territory.

Nope, I think Mexico prefers to be an independent country, seeing as how not all Mexicans want to come to the US, not all Mexicans are poort, etc... Mexico also has a strong cultural history and integrity as a sovereign state.

No, because it would mean too much of a loss of illegal American dollars crossing the border to support the country of Mexico. There is no way that their president is going to give up billions, any more than America's president wants to. The loss of cheap labor in America is all the reason our president needs to be against the American ppl and all for criminals. The greatest supporter of illegal wages, and illegal industry practices is sadly our American president.

now and again the individuals who get the visas do not honor the contract even as they get that visa. many of the human beings obtainable imagine they could purely ignore concerning the guidelines... some experience they personal this usa.. some have a authorities which couldn't furnish ideas on the human beings who note for the visa. and then there is one of those garbage. "De Jesus, the lengthy-time supplier, stated he recognized the importance of the U.S. electing a guy like Obama after many years of racial intolerance." u.s. has no longer even gotten on the point of many years of racial intolerance. it truly is amazingly offensive to assert such issues, in spite of the indisputable fact that, our enemies do like to assert it even as they don't get their way. And of each and every of the international places contained in the international that ought to assert one of those ingredient about u.s., Mexico is the very worst with racial intolerance directed to the Mestizo's for most, many years. Mexico's therapy of the 'first settlers' is criminal or maybe today, criminal. no longer distinctive room to call for... or communicate. they should be silent before their betters, and that includes a touch large majority of Latin u.s..

who says that the US wants Mexico? Why would we? If Mexico became part of the US we would have to pay for all social problems that they have, not to mention all the money it would take to make the like the US (sewers, roads, police and fire stations, upgrading to current housing standards, schools) trust me we do not want Mexico as part of the US,

no i don't think this would ever be feasible. although it has happended before but there was a fight involved and an exchange of money. When the U.S. bought/ took (paid only about one million dollars for the states) the southern half of the u.s. (California, New Mexico, Nevada, and Texas).

No, because there is an upper class in Mexico, although small, that would hate to be ingrained into the US and so they, since they have all the power, would resist it.

Not likely....it would be like you voluntarily giving up your family name, your heritage, and what makes you unique.
Mexico is a proud, poor nation that does have its faults and failures, but to give up your sovereignty for basically economic freedom....out of the question.

I don't think they will want to join the US but I think we should annex Mexico. If they want to be our welfare state I think we should take control. And to the previous posters, protesting and emmigration is not a culture.

You would think they would, but I don't think so. Despite the amount of people coming into the US illegally, they still want to keep their "independence". Property ownership would be available to Americans and they don't want that.
