Well it is important to try make your shins stronger before starting to compete but I believe that most important thing here for any fighter is tactical approach. I've also seen that fight where Pettas got injured. He just fired that low kick without any kind of setup what so ever, his opponent blocked it without any trouble and broke his leg. When you're in a match you can't just decide at any given moment - ok now I'll do this kick or punch or whatever and go on with it no matter what your opponent does at that time. It's important to observe the man in front of you carefully, study his movement, fake him few times to see how he reacts and to try to get the distance and timing right and then go for the attack.
Fighter's shins are obviously at maximum risk when he's executing low kicks. That's why they are executed usually after a punch or a quick hand combination which distracts the opponent and sets him up for the kick and minimizes the risk of injury a lot.You can of course never be completely safe when doing this because there is always a chance of your opponent getting his knee up, blocking it and hurting you that way. But when the kick is done technically correct and in proper timing that chance is very small.

you may want to wreck it doing something adventurous! people will ask you the way you broke your ankle, and do you truly want to assert "I hit it with a hammer because someone on the information superhighway advised me to"?! No. Lame. take in trekking, then climb off-path (fantastically if mountains are in touch). start up cycling. start up skateboarding. Jog (you could a minimal of get a fracture there). basically, enhance your probabilities of having a badass fracture by using BEING A BADASS. that is the purely way. also, that is problematic to deliberately wreck your own bones. have you ever tried tickling your self? that is like that. intuition says no to fake breaks. So in simple terms be a badass till you wreck for genuine. Oh, and in case you want to break a bone, do not wreck your ankle. once you get old, or in case you get fat, it would want to have complication assisting your weight, and also you'll finally end up with arthritis. save in concepts, you could continually get a sprain truly. That calls for crutches too, and that's a lot less everlasting.

You can train toughness in almost any part of your body, but you have to work your way up to it slowly. Very slowly. If you kick something too hard, too soon, you'll hurt yourself badly.
I don't think it's a good idea. Without constant input from a good master, you're likely to hurt yourself with the training methods. And then there's the issue of finding a good master...

to efficiently be able to kick with your shinbone you have to build up your shinbone's toughness. Some people in muay tai kick wood to build the bone's toughness, but you can get the same effect by just kicking the heavy bag over and over again. Plus it won't hurt as much. Once you get your shinbone to optimum hardness, kicking with it will be safe and with enough practice it will no longer hurt anymore.
