No. It is better to have love, if even for a short time, than to not have had it at all.

I guess....why are you breaking up just because you are going to different colleges? Is that the way **** goes? Both of yall are fools comming up with the conclusion to break up in the first place, just because you wont be seeing eachother as much as you used to because of college. If your love can't hold on or isn;t STRONG enough go thru tthru separation until you meet again. Then maybe it wasn't love in the first place. If you can just let it go so easily. If you love him with all your heart...You should think twice about breakign up then. You say it's going to be hell moving on without him. Sounds like it was his decision to break up with you. I know that most long distance relationships don't work out. But if you think it's worth the time and wait while the relashionship is put on hold. Keep it going! If not you can go on with your life...Its not easy. But just don't let it affect your school work and life itself.

Good luck. =]

When I met my wife (we met over the internet), we were more than 2000 miles away from each other and we had this long distance relationship for 2 years and we got married. One of my friends had an even long distance relationship (my friend was in New York state and her boyfriend/fiance was in Singapore). They had this long distance relationship for 3 or 4 years and eventually they got married. Not saying that it is easy because it does take some work to keep the relationship going. But when things do work out for the better, it is really rewarding for the both of you. So, don't break up with him.

Why does the sun shine? Why do birds sing? And why do we all breathe air? It's just part of life. No one can blame you for having strong feelings for someone, nor is it out of the ordinary. College is a totally new experience for most people (taking your schedule into your own hands, being on your own without parents, etc.), so soak it in and enjoy yourself (safely). Obviously, the two of you decided it wasn't possible to take a stab at staying together (which indeed is tough to do), so if the relationship is really 'over', then definitely it's time to move on.

Head v/s Heart. "Fools fall in love" only when it's not a good idea. When the Head and the Heart, have the same vote, you've got a winner.

No, it was a time in life that you enjoyed and should remember the happy times. You both made a logical decision and you shouldn't penalize yourself for keeping from being in pain later if the long distance relationship didn't work out. Best of luck to both of you

No. Smart people fall in love and get the honor of experiencing it. Fools avoid it. In my opinion anyways.

yes, but you're young and college is where you will meet true love, think of your current bf as a test run for your heart. and if in 2-3 years you still talk to him, then you can get back together.

if there was ever a time in your life to "shop around" college is it.
