C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch follow the above given path, there you will find the desktop, from there you can create a shortcut on you desktop or anywhere else. (In the above given path you can adjest your drive on which windows is being installed, i.e. if your drive is D then put D:\ instead of C:\ in the strat of above path. While in brackets you can check the user name you are using, or can explore step by step, i.e. open C drive, then open documents and setting then open username(you windows user), then open application data, then open Microsoft folder, then Internet Explorer, here in this folder you will find out the desktop icon.)
