Me and my girlfriend have been going out for a while and we really love eachother. She's black (we'll really half black and half white, but looks more black), and she's never dated a white guy before. She's my first blk g/f. But I kno that whenever our friends come around and say something about us being in a mixed relationship, she gets upset and sometimes I think she regrets going out w/ me. What do I do? how do i figure out what she really feels?

No, I've tried asking her how she feels, but she lies and says she doesn't care what they say...

personally its none of their business. however, talk to her get her input and find out why this bothers her so you will know how to address your friends (kindly). make sure she is not ashamed of you! there is no reason for her to be. we have a mixed family. i have a mixed grandson. i don't look at colors. I'm using mixed because you did. I'm sure you both make a cute couple. never let no one tell you or her who or who not you can date. better yet let her read this.honestly your friends should not be saying anything if they are real true friends. but, every time would make anyone upset and feel unwanted. im sorry this is happening. people can be ignorant cant they? not all will agree with me in the circle of life but i don't care!! i dont have to live with them and i owe them nothing. they do not pay my bills.yes, i have a wht boyfriend now. but one never knows what the future holds. so be understanding and then she should do the same. wish you two the best.

You guys should watch the movie "Something New" together. It might give you a better perspective of how she feels as well as give her an in site on your feelings. If that doesn't help then, put on a black mask and walk around for a week and then maybe you will be able to relate to her.

what you need to do is sit have a deep down serious conversation with her and find out if she has a problem with you guys relationship and also find out if she regrets going out with you and if she acts uneasy about the situation that means she does feel awkward about the whole scenario and you should just leave her alone or tell her to learn not care about what people say and do what makes her happy regardless of the situation.

Look into her eyes. Tell her how you really feel about her and that other people always want to mess up other peoples happiness, it's been this way since the dawn of time.

You know, people are going to always find a reason to talk $h!t. If you are making each other happy and I am sure you are, then to hell with what they think. They are not good friends or people to be around anyway!

My best advice to anyone is to just ask the person. Friends can say what they want. I know I value my friends opinions and when they disapprove of something, I second guess myself. Only you and her knows what goes on behind closed doors. That is what counts.
Just tell her forget your friends, are you worried about them or me? Are you with them or me? That is what it boils down to.

the only way to figure out how she really feels is to ask her. Your friends shouldn't make comment concerning race because love is blind and who cares what color a person is?

Don't worry about what anyone else says. Tell her you love her for her and not the color of her skin. She should feel the same way

Let her know that you don't care what they say and that you want to be with her or you wouldn't be with her. If it is to hard on her and she isn't willing to sacrifice what you are then you probably shouldn't be together
