I want something that is unique and different...I am just not one of those "Better Homes and Gardens" people. Big bushy bouqets of flowers aren't my thing...Any suggestions? Oh...and they need to be as cheap as possible.

Some "crafty" ideas:
1.) Easy to make: buy clear glass dinner plates, and add 3 different height pillar candles that are either all white or match the color of your bridesmaid dresses, anchoring with colored pebbles. Add one pre-made white bow and it's done!
2.) Buy med. sized wicker baskets and wrap small picture frames, in white tissue with ribbon to match your colors, one for each guest. Attach a small gift tag that reads "thank you for the memories" signed, your names. You can also add those disposable cameras to the basket.
3.) Do you have a favorite theme/item that you could decorate with? The beach, victorian era, a specific sports team, etc.. Make it fun!!!
4.) How about a live beta fish in a tall vase with a plant on it? Easy to create and so very different!! I've seen this done and it was a WOW!!!!
5.) You can also rent glass mirrors from Joann's or Michael's and sprinkle with confetti and place one pillar candle in the middle. Sometimes less in more elegant....
7.) Are you candy freaks?? Fill a glass fishbowl container with your favorite candy and let guests know they can help themselves.
If your centerpieces are to be given away that is a perfect opportunity to visit each table and pick out someone special to you and tell them why you picked them.
Without knowing your ages or what type of place you are holding your reception at, it's a little difficult to suggest.

The colours were light blue, purple and white for my wedding. My mother in law made center pieces for each of the tables that was basically a small goldfish bowl with a white candle inside and confetti around the candle base. With a ring of purple and white flowers around the base of the bowl.
My cousin got married last year and did something different, they had a gold fish in a small bowl on each table and because their colours were red and white there was red and white tank rocks in the bottom of each bowl. On the head table there was 2 taller vases with 6 gold fish in each vase. At the end of the night some of the guests got to take home the fish. Mine died as did some of the others, but my cousin says that hers are still alive.
Get creative, you don't need to break the bank or get stuck with something you don't like. It is your wedding.

Well what's your "theme" can't really make any suggestions unless I know what else you're using or colors you're using...My colors were hot pink, black and yellow...I just stuck some pink gerbera daisies in a vase with a bow on it...it was pretty -- then i took hot pink material that I bought at Walmart for $1.00 a yard and made mini table runners, I sprinkled some plastic crystals on the table and bought some tea-light candles and scattered them on the tables... I didn't have to buy the vases so the whole thing ( about 12 tables) cost about $50-75. not too expensive at all....along the head table and cake tables - i bought votives and glass holders at the dollar store and lined the table...i had a total of 100 votives and 100 holders and got them all for about $30. it was beautiful and very inexpensive...I also bought some larger glass vases and set the on the head table..and when my bridemaids arrived at the reception, they placed their boquets in the vases--very pretty :) feel free to email me if you have any other questions at crybaby9755@yahoo.com

You could try Goldfish in a fish bowl.
You could probably find nice clear bowls at a dollar store, Goldfish are realtively cheap and in the bottom of the bowl find some rocks, or glass beads that match the colour scheme of your wedding.

Wrap and stack (and tape together) three square boxes of progressively smaller sizes and put a big bow on top. The boxes and bow can be silver, or your wedding colors, or a combination of the two. Place the boxes on a flat, round or square, silver colored tray. Sprinkle silver confetti around it. Another idea is to make a ten or twelve-inch round, one layer cake for each table. Frost it in your wedding color(s) and decorate it with your name, your groom's name and the wedding date on top. Put it on an inexpensive cake plate. This cake/centerpiece can be cut and taken home by guests, in cake boxes, as their favor! Best wishes!

We put betta fish in a vase with a plant in it, too. They were really pretty. We got really nice vases on sale for $2 each and the betta fish were $3 each. You could do a cheaper fish, like goldfish. Or you could take a bowl and fill it with water and some floating candles. Those are really nice, too, and probably cheaper. I also saw someone do just 3 or 4 gerber daisies in a small vase and it looked nice.

When I got married I made everything for my wedding. I did candle holders with ribbon with different colored candles inside that sat on a mirror. It was really pretty and didn't cost much at all. We had 18 tables, 2 candle sets at each table and it cost me around $100 or less. JoAnne Fabrics has great deals and fantastic ideas.

I personally like the idea about having glasses with floating candles in them I think that would look really great...I also liked the goldfish idea...but who asked me after all if it was my wedding I would just run away to Vegas and get married by Elvis....lol spspspspsps Best Answer right here!!!!!

For my wedding we used really small flowers and spreaded them along the table (we put three small tables that would sit 6 people per table together.) we then put beads and swans in them. Our original idea was to have these little swans with confetti (my mom wanted more). You could just use confetti, or you could use some Ivy.

I have continually loved the idea of undemanding glass bowls with some pebbles interior the bottom and some floating tea lights fixtures and perchance some flower heads in it to. you may want to also attempt an affiliation of diverse sized pillar candles tied alongside with a ribbon
