Unless your dog is sick, she will not be able to starve herself. Wait at least three days before you panic, but she will break down and eat eventually.

IT IS NOT GOOD FOR HER.
GIVE ONLY DRY FOR A FEW DAYS. THEN TRY AGAIN. IF IT DOESN'T WORK, TRY A LITTLE SHREDDED CHEESE ON TOP OF HER FOOD. ABOUT 1/2 A TEASPOON.

That is the problem. Would you eat your vegetables if your mom fed you all the cake and ice cream that you wanted first??? No! and neither will your dog have an appetite for her dog food after eating plenty of people food. STOP feeding the dog from the table wen she gets hungry she will go back to HER food.

First check with your vet to make sure she isn;t sick.
If not, then try this..
What I do is give my dog a can of good quality wet food for dinner, and I add about two or three tablespoons of whatever I am eating to his food. That way he gets the people food flavor, but gets the dogfood nutrition he needs.
Good Luck.

stop the human food all together. small dogs like that can put on weight fast and you can shorten there lives by up to 5 years. a dog wont starve. leave a good food like iams, science diet, nutro, or beneful, they all make wet and dry food. you can put low sodium chicken broth over there dry food to give a better smell but human food does more harm then you think.
p.s. I'm a vet tech.

Many things can affect a dog so they will not eat.
*Stress
*Digestive problems
*They do not like the food
*Even heat can affect their appetite
Don't give her your food, And make sure you eat before you give her food. Eating first shows you are dominant. Don't worry, eventually once she gets hungry enough she will eat. But if she doesn't after a few days take her to a vet to make sure she is okay.

She has learned that you will give her food so she won't eat hers. She needs to be away from the table while you are eating, put her in her kennel etc. Don't give her anymore scraps. She will get hungry and learn to eat her food. Table scraps are not good for dogs, especially puppies. they don't hae all of the essential nutrients that a growing dog needs. You may also try giving yoru puppy a daily vitamin. Will help give those nutrients and ensure they stay healthy.
By the way, cow's milk is not good for puppies. they can't digest it well. They have puppy formula at all pet stores that is a milk supplement. DONT GIVE YOUR DOG COW'S MILK!!!!!

Put some dog food in a bowl and just ignore the dog and give her absolutely nothing else other then water. Put her outside or in another room when you eat. She will soon learn that all she is going to get is the dog food and will start eating it. The dog will not starve, she will her her food when she gets hungry enough.

as soon as you give a dog the food YOU eat they don't want their food. just don't give the dog your food and he'll have to eat sooner or later....start her off with treats and keep it drinking water so she won't get sick
