Read your label carefully... there are very addictive ingredients in junk food. Think about how many foods have two or three kinds of sugar in them, most have some form of MSG even if it is not one of the main ingredients it is highly addictive... there are others as well. It's not that the naughty food really tastes better, it's that you've become addicted to the junk they've added to make you crave it. Try cutting one of your favorites out and substitute it with a healthy alternative for a month, like regular store bought chips substituted by air popped organic popcorn with nutritional yeast (brewers yeast), sea salt and a bit of butter... tastes so good and every time I have regular chips now they taste starchy and yucky!

There really is a reason for this, but I don't know exactly, I think when we eat things really high in fat and sugar and all the bad stuff, some 'feel good chemicals' are released in our brains. We remember that feeling and want to eat more of the bad stuff (why so many people are addicted to fast food). And there are lots of good things that don't taste bad, you just have to look around :)

I think it is all inside our head......food that we know is bad for us will always taste the best because it is what we are used to. People that are raised on healthy foods usually find our food taste bad. I guess we are just used to the fatty tastes! I think if you got used to some of it and gave it a chance, then it wouldnt be so awful tasting!

During the time of cave men, human beings needed more fatty food in order to survive. So evolution decided to take a 180 and make fatty food taste better to humans.

Unfortunetly, humans never got over that, and America has become the fattest country in the world!

Maybe because your parents raised you with hamburgers, french fries and coke?

Personally, i don't care much for the taste of butter and sugar, for example, but i do like fruits and vegetables... (and meat, I'm no vegetarian) ^^

Also, it's a typical misconception that there are ingredients that are inherently "good" or "bad": you should eat a bit of everything, and never in excess.

I happen to like healthy food and I don't think hamburgers or fries or pizza taste good - to me, they taste fatty and cr*ppy. i love fruit, salads, veggies, and the only unhealthy thing I really love is chocolate. Well, as for food, anyway - in drinks, I'm not a teetotaller.

Well it would depend on how its prepared. A lot of people don't know how to make things healthy and taste good. You just need to play around in your kitchen you may be surprised as to what you discover!

That is not so to me. I enjoy healthy foods but then I know how to cook and prepare anything to taste good.
