depending on where you get your hair colored and bleached weather it be at home or in a salon...your best chance of your hair having the least amount of damage is going to a salon and having a professional do it. At home products usually contain a lot more peroxide that changes your color faster but does more damage than good. Your stylist can also help you find the right shampoo and conditioner that best fits your hair type too. I am a hairdresser and have seen the damage that store bought colors and bleach can do to someones hair. They are not all bad as long as they are used properly.

pantene is bad ... if u have artificial colore in ur hair it will strip it out .... if u color your hair at all you need to use a color shampoo... and not sauve color extend ....why spend 200$ on ur hair and wash it down the drain with ur 1.49$vo5 .. go to the salon and buy what the recommend ... and if they want u to buy 5 products ask them what is the top 2 they recommend .. they will help u ... .. if u get ur hair done a a salon .. the proper way and take care of it the way u are told .. then your hair will not suffer much .. we know how to treat the hair, what chemicals to use where to use them and how to get the desired color with out trying with 10 boxes of color ... if u use an at home highlights kit .. this is really risky ... cause if u mess up ... it will look really really bad .. and then u have to color over it .. with will fry uur hair even more ... so bleach and color isnt that great for ur hair but its not bad depending on who does it ... if u do go to a salon a lot of the colors now have conditioners in the color to help the hair as it is being processed so .. most the time it feels better after the service

When you bleach and dye your hair, you actually strip off all the essential oils & the top layer of the hair, and then put on a hard chemical to change colour. The hair suffers from lack of moisture, and becomes very dry & brittle. The dye & the bleach is also bad for your scalp, which grows the hair. If you go to a proper hair stylist, they will attempt to save your scalp from burning. You will also need to use moisturizers like Pantene for Colour, etc... to bring your hair back to normal (or semi-normal).

Well, bleaching your hair can just really dry it out. That's why you have to use special shampoos and conditioners and other products that will help keep it healthy. That's why if you dye it, you shouldn't choose a really light color. The lighter and blonder you bleach your hair, the more it will dry it out. But you dont have to worry if you are sure you will take good care of it. And also make sure you will be using bleach or dye you won't be allergic to.

It damages it a lot. That's why you see people who have bleach blond hair having hair that looks coarse and gross rather than normal people.

The more you add, the more you burn. Be sure to go to the salon for this. Controlled burning is much better. Once you burn it, you can't make it better. You can disguise the damage with conditioners, until new growth comes in, and you clip off the burnt ends.
