not very many... look how fat a whale is. Need I say more.





OK I will... it depends on how vigorous AND how much you weigh. (more effort / more effort to stay afloat). I attached a link to a web site.

i think that would be dependant on your efforts vs. time spent.... so it's hard to say

but what i can tell you (as a former competitive swimmer of 10 years and a former coach) is that 1 mile of swimming = 3 miles of running (effort wise, due to the full body motion)
