My hair is natural blonde but I have lightened it to be blonder. Now I want a dark blonde/red color. I picked my color and loved it, but a few days later you can hardley tell I did anything and it's almost back to light blonde again. AARRRGGGHHH!!!

Your hair is likely absent of a 'medulla' , the innermost layer of the hair shaft. You will probably have to have your hair 'filled and baked' with a colour filler before your hair will accept a darker tone. See a reputable colourist to have this done. DON'T try it at home as the results can be damaging and disastrous!

There is this hair color called Bigen found in most Asian food stores. It does a very good job on stubburn hair. Also, if you keep it on your head longer before you wash it out, it is fairly permanent until your hair grows out.
