I think my family could be doing more financially for god. From what I hear he needs every penny he can get. I've already made my 80 year old mother come out of retirement to contribute. (Though she doesn't make much since it is a non-union factory.)
I am working 3 jobs as it is and my wife has started selling pictures of herself on the internet just for a little added income. I know that showing pictures of yourself having intercourse on the net is probably a sin, but isn't it worth it if the church will have more money?

Are you for real?? What church do you go to.. the Church of Satan??? My God would NEVER approve of what you are doing to your family so that you can give more money. He wants us to tithe 10% of our income before taxes. If you can't, you can give something which is better than nothing. God blesses the cheerful giver, not the one who exploits his family! Your daughter needs time to grow up, she has the rest of her adult life to work. Your wife should be ashamed of herself!. Let your mother enjoy her retirement! May God have mercy on you!

I have to admit that I believe a lot in God but I don't trust any kind of religion. The religions are made for controlling the masses so a few people can have the control of the world.
I think God doesn't need your money. Jesus never asked for money. Only Gods "servants" need money for having more properties, more money accounts, more drugs, more women and most important more POWER. I don't believe that in our days you can still find people that are thinking the way you do. The childhood is a sacred thing. No God would be happy with the situation that you see around the world with children working from very young ages. A God like this would be real evil.

(I recognize the tonge in cheek sarcasm, by the way) No I would not ask my daughter to go out to work. But I have this feeling you may have misunderstood what the Bible says about giving. God owns everything and he only asks for 10 percent in return. A lot of people go by the 10-10-80 plan. 10% to God, 10% to investments and the remaining 80% for your expenses. And a person is expected to live on the 80% by either reducing expenses or increasing earnings.

It's also the only place where God says to put him to the test in Malachi. You give so God can bless you. Now if you drop 10% of your income and all of a sudden you find you have more than enough, how can that happen? For myself and many other people we have found that time and time again this happens.

I hope you find what you are looking for with this question. Peace my friend.

Why would god care about money. I dont think money is mentioned in any Religious writings other than the fact that it leads to greed. God would care if you are doing the right thing or not. If you sell crack, commit a sin and say its in the name of God, your still selling drugs or committing a sin.

God is God. He doesn't need money. Only the institutions who support God, such as your church, need the money. I don't think you should send your 10-year-old daughter out to work. In fact, I'm not even sure it's legal. I think you need to be a certain age to have a job.

I think you have lost your mind...and you are not working for God. You hear that he needs every penny he can get? Who told you that? The church will be fine without your money. You should use that money to get yourself some psychological help.

If God needs more money he can go get a job himself!!
What kind of stupid question is that? Please don't tell me you're serious. Where in the Bible does it say that GOD needs YOUR money in order to perfrom miracles or be with you? I am NOT a christian but I know that there isn't a single God out there that charges an "entry" fee....
By the way -- I believe it's illegal to put MINORS to work!!

You only have to give "the firstfruits of thy increase",the "tenth". If you feel like you can give more, do it, but not at the cost of your own personal lifestyle. God doesn't want us to suffer and have nothing; He merely wants credit for us getting what we have. You should be ashamed for some of the statements you've made even if they're in jest because they border on the sacrilegious!

Sure put your kid to work. Kids these days are tooo lazy anyway and need a good Godly education.Actually, wasn't Mary Magdalene a Prostitute? That's a great way for a girl to make big bucks to give to God...and it's got biblical background so I'm sure God would accept it.Although I wouldn't sell your wife unless they (her clients and her)do it in your bed (all things are sacred in the marriage bed).
