Green Dot Financial (http://www.getmygreen.com) offers lots of different prepaid cards that you can use anywhere a credit card can be used, including online. You go to a local store such as CVS and buy a "card", which is just a piece of paper, fill it out and the company sends it to you preloaded. You can then go to the website and load more onto it.

I know most of if not all the banks sell them now. You can just walk in and give them the amount of cash you would like on the card. Also, credit card companies are offering some sort of temporary credit card number or something for online purchases. This way it's safer for your card. I don't know too much about it but something worth looking into. I wish I had more facts on it to share with you

They sell these prepaid credit cards at 7-11 and chain drugstores like CVS. Takes a couple of weeks to get it back.

Good luck

There are a lot of prepaid cards you can use online. Here are some:

Entropay (available online)
Greendot (available in stores like CVS)
Netspend (available at ACE check cashing)
Rushcard/Babyphat card (available online)

They all have different prices. You should check reviews at the prepaid card forum.

These cards seem like a big ripoff because they charge you for the card and every time you reload. If you can't get a real credit card, a lot of places take payments from your checking account over the internet.
