Chop them up into itty bitty bits

A - call a doctor. If you've had to take that much acetaminophen, then there is a problem that the physician should look into. Even if its the cost of the dr's visit, there are county health clinics and such in the US. I'm not sure of other countries.

B - take medication only as directed by either the label on the bottle, or a physician's orders. Trust me on this. I decided that I should double a dosage of painkiller once, because I missed the previous time taking it, and I landed in the hospital getting my tummy pumped. Not happy. Tylenol can destroy your liver when you ingest too much of it over a period of time.

C - lay off the Tylenol for a while. If you're taking it for joint pain, try ibuprofin. Start with half a dosage, and then build up to the full. Its very possible that your body became acclimated to the Tylenol and therefor no longer responds. That's what happened to me and the pain meds that I was prescribed for 2.5 years. They quit working due to the frequency of ingestion, and now I have to alternate monthly to different meds.

Hope this helps and you get to feeling better.

Why are you taking so much Tylenol? I'm assuming you're doing this under a doctor's advice. If not, I'd certainly check with a doctor about what's causing your pain. In any case, when you take certain types of medication on a regular basis your body can become "used to" it and you need more and more of it to be effective. My doctor told me this about allergy pills but said the same thing applies to many pain medications including Tylenol. You might want to try something different in pain relief. Ibuprofen (that's what's in Motrin, Advil) is a good one.

Take the recommended dosage only because liver failure occurs with those people that abuse them. It's an ugly way to die. Try Motrin with food and find out the underlying cause of the pain or fever you are experiencing.Of course you are digesting them. You may have grown a tolerance to them in which the desired effect does not occur anymore unless of course you find them intact in your stool. In that case see a doctor for your malabsorption problem which is a serious problem. I hope you get better soon.

Don't take them if they're upsetting your stomach, or slow down for a while. I've heard of Ibuprofen being rough on the stomach, but never Tylenol.

If you are taking them as directed, you can try taking an over the counter acid reducer at night. It this doesn't help then maybe you should talk to your doc. You can try switching to Advil but that med can be hard on your tummy! Good luck!

my friend was taking them daily for headaches, when he went to the doctor about the headaches, he was admitted immediately to the hospital to detox his system of the tylenol. doctor was worried about possible liver failure---very dangerous situation, and my friend had no idea the damage he was causing to his system--luckily he is ok now (found out headaches were caused by bulging discs in his neck!)

Tylenol is not supposed to be taken that often. You will damage your liver if you haven't already. I think you may have an addiction problem.
