I recently started dating my one ex again after 3 years. We went on a date yesterday and he kissed me. My friend says he thinks I am moving to fast. He just kissed me. Him and I think of it as picking it back up from where we left off.. what do you think?

Anything more then kissing will be a while. My heart nor mind is ready for anything else. Have to make sure he honestly loves me and only me..

He has changed a bit.. He is more respectful of me now. When I say no he does not keep trying. He will actually stop.

The real question is: what do YOU think? It's your relationship. Screw what everyone else has to say! Trust you're instincts. If it feels like you're doing too much too soon, then take your time. It was just a kiss, and you dated before...so what the heck is your friend all anxious about? Granted, I don't know the situation in detail, but like I said...it's your business.

Some people are different. As for me I would sort of think the same as you. Men generally are expected to kiss you on the first date if it went really well. If it was just a kiss then there is really nothing wrong with it...just don't make any other extreme decisions like sex etc....then that might be rushing it too much.

If you guys went right back into banging eachother's brains out, that would be a bit quick... but simply kissing an ex is no worse than kissing a guy on your first date. This friend you speak of, might he be interested in you? The answer to that could speak worlds.

He will respect you if you "make your kisses like gold". thats what my aunt tells me...its been a long time since yall went out and you two are different people. i mean, are you gonna start sleeping with him again right now?
you cant pick up where you left off..you two are different people. you should get to know each other...and he will respect you more if you make him wait for physical benefits.
watch the movie Yours mine and ours.......they got married immediately only to find out they were opposites...well gee, you really think people change after ten years? duh. get to know him. he may not be the guy you remember.
also theyre called exes for a reason.........

If you pick it up where you left off, then you will quickly end up where it ended... breaking up. There must have been a reason your first relationship ended. Start things slow to make sure you don't make the same mistakes twice.

Sure but remember why you broke up. The issue will probably rise again along with new ones. Taking it slow is good.

He probably figures that you guys have already got over the awkward parts in the past. If you want to get back with him, than you should not be uncomfortable with it.
