If you are bored at work, you should consider changing jobs. Life is too short not to be doing something you like and enjoy doing. I was in public education where I taught for 26 years and was a high school Principal for 14 years. Interestingly enough, I was bored as a principal and returned to the classroom for the last 11 years of my career. I loved every minute of it!! I never regretted the move at the end even though it cost me $18000 in my first year. Just find something you love doing, and you will not be bored or unhappy.

Good luck!!

I am. I am very bored at work at the moment. I am an admin assistant and have been doing the same job now for five years. When I get really bored and there is no work to do I go on the Internet.

Not me, I answer questions!

At work I can appear to be the busiest person in the office. My keys constantly tapping away. There is great skill involved, periodically shuffling papers, groaning, fetching coffee and stretching under the strain of it all.

There is also the skill of incidental chatter, also designed to deceive. "Oh, No why do they do this to me? I will be working all night to correct that now!" and similar virtuous comments.

The screen is a problem sometimes, I keep a letter under ANSWERS so that should anyone visit, I can just click over to that screen and gesture in disbelief.

Sorry I can not concur I am extremely happy in my job (answering questions.)

May we ask what you do? or are you at that desk over there, near the window?

Surfing the web in a nice, air-conditioned office. Hope I don't spend too much money! Oh and I just popped in on Yahoo Answers. Great way to pass the day until you reach the answering limit!

Its 1 hour into the workday and I'm already bored out of my mind! Whats worse is my work has a firewall that blocks pretty much all entertainment via the web. Yahoo answers is all I got.

the day seems to be going fast for me thus far, but it's bound to change come this afternoon I have to do the most boring part of my job, not looking forward to it. I think about all the nice things I can by my cats with the money I'm making.

Bored & tired as I didn't sleep a wink.

I am waiting for answers that I actually know and looking out for my boss, occassionly going to make a cuppa to waste time.

Girl, you just DON'T know. I'm actually at work RIGHT now on yahoo answers wasting my time. At least I get paid for answering question that have NOTHING to do with what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing. Oops! I hope I don't get caught.
