Eat several (5-6) small meals a day...your body will burn calories faster and build your metabolism in a short period of time.
(eat about every 2 hours)
The first 8-10 pounds you shed is water.
Meal suggestions:
1st: piece of fruit
2nd: string cheese, summer sausage, cottage cheese/yogurt
3rd: bowl of cereal
4th: soup/sandwich
5th: a good dinner-meat, potatoes/pasta/rice, veggie...your body needs carbs, protein and vitamins to stay healthy
6th: salad/raw veggies
Drink plenty of water
Drink milk or juice/water with every meal (no soda pop)
Stay away from munchies, fried & fatty foods.
Do daily simple exercise like walking/hiking...swimming and biking are low impact, playing games like basketball, baseball, volleyball will tone your body and you'll have fun doing it.

Step 1 - check in with your Dr, make sure you aren't gaining weight from a thyroid problem or something.
Step 2 - Everyday, walk. Start with 30 minutes. It is a beautiful day out today - go take a walk. As you get used to it, increase the time spent walking to 45 minutes. As time goes on, walk faster, maybe even jog a bit. The fastest way to loose weight is exercise. By November, you might be up to a full hour! (Every mile you walk or run burns an extra 100 calories).
Step 3 - For one week, write down what you eat. You may be surprised, even though you think you have cut down, you may be randomly munching without really thinking about it!
Step 4 - Review your eating diary, and start making changes. Like at 3:00 in the afternoon, do you grab a snack? I do, I prefer chocolate, however, a SMALL bowl of cereal with some skim milk does the trick. (Use a coffee mug for the bowl, that will make sure it isn't too much). How about in the morning? What are you eating? Egg? Egg sandwich with cheese and maybe bacon? Soda? What can you eat that will be healthier and less calories? How about some fruit? How about cereal (I like cereal). How about a piece of toast or an English muffin? How about one egg, poached, not fried, without the extra cheese?
Step 5 - this one is hard but will really help - cut out sodas and juices. These bad boys are all sugar calories. Drink water. If you want some caffeine - drink a Diet Pepsi or Coke - but only 1/day. This is the will power step - even more so then walking.
These 5 things will help you loose weight - swear! But, it is not a crash diet! You won't loose 20 lbs in 2 months! You will loose weight over time, and next summer not only will you be slimmer, but you will feel better too! The good news is, make these changes over time, you will loose weight AND because you've made thoughtful decisions about food and exercise you will be able to keep it off without becoming a maniac!

first of all do not ask people on the internet unless you talk about this with your parents and doctor! Dieting at 14 years old can be very dangerous at your age. Just exercies more and cut back on sweets. And since this is summer drink plenty of water with your favorite fruits like apples, oranges and grapes. You can still eat your favorite food like pizza and cookies. Just make it a treat like once a week or two after eating healty for 2 weeks straitght.

The best thing to do is stop eating white flour and cane sugar. Use only 100% whole Wheat products and eat lots of fruit and vegetables. use lean cuts of meat and brown rice also skip the white potatoes. You also would do good to not have the sugar substitutes. Add some exercise and you'll shape up and drop the extra pounds. It's not good to limit your body too much when your young because your still growing. You also need make sure you getting your dairy products. Just use low fat and you'll be fine.

Eat slow and always finish with a bit of room left. Never leave more than 4 hours between eating but always 2,5 hrs. Eat 4-5 times a day. Eat fruit as a meal. Eat nuts as a meal--good fat that will help you lose weight. Naturally cut out all guck. Drink plenty of water.

Hey there! Start going to Weight Watchers meetings. I know that sounds funny, but when I used to go, there were several teens in there your age, and they seemed to be losing weight pretty good. The support you get from other people is wonderful, and you get little rewards for 5 lbs, 10 lbs, etc. lost. Great motivation factor. Or you can do it online www.weightwatchers.com though they don't have the rewards stuff like they do in the meetings. Good luck!!!

Get outside and walk and get some exercise playing basketball or whatever. Eat a well balanced diet that is good for you. I believe someone on your answers has a good site to go to. Good luck. My sister lost a lot of weight at your age and fit your profile.

Hey i know what you mean.... its kind of hard to lose wait but remeber even though you cut out somethings you still eat food.... if you eat drink water with your food b/c not only will it fill you up but youll be good for the rest of the day... and also trying to lose wait by not eating certin things does not help you need to be active and work out... as in *walking , running , riding bike, ect. well take care hope that helped some what...

PLEASE do not go on a diet, it will mess up your metabolism for life and you will battle weight your entire life if you do. Rather than going on a specific diet, please do as you are doing, cut out all the junky type foods, pop is really bad, anything with loads of sugar is bad (anything processed pretty much). Focus on lots of fresh fruits and vegetables for snacks. Low fat meals such a chicken breast, or lean ground beef. Cut back on things like mayo and margerine which are high in fat, and drink lots of water, its just good for you and will make your skin nice too. Also, along with just eating sensibly, start doing exercise. If you haven't done a lot, then just start with going for walks and bike rides. Take your dog out if you have one. I started the whole diet thing when I was your age, and it has only set me up for a lifetime of dieting and failing and being very overweight. I started by cutting way back on everything and not eating right at all, and trust me, I only hurt myself in the end. My best advice, don't diet, don't deprive yourself of anything, but have sensible portions..event hings like ice cream are fine in moderation..everything is fine in moderation. Its just important to learn serving sizes, and fill up on healthy things and exercise. Good luck!
Also, don't forget to drink lots of low fat milk, low fat yogurt, etc. Calcium is SOOOOOOO important for young people, so your bones are healthy later in life.

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:
The correct way to burn fat and stay healthy is to burn more calories than you consume
You need to make sure you are eating healthy foods while still excercising
If you have a big appetite drink plenty of water so that you will feel full but not consume calories
But you should always eat
If you start to skip meals you will only be more hungry at your next meal and probably eat way too much
Remember, the average persons stomach is as big as a slice of pizza scrunched up into a ball
So you shouldnt be putting more food into your stomach than what fits
Also, it takes aproximately 15-20 minutes for your brain to realize that you are full
so eat slower and you will realize sooner when you are not hungry anymore
