Anu,

I am very partial to Indian food. I was invited to attend an Indian Concert a while back staged by some of our friends in our Indian Community. At the interval the food (all brought by parents, no charge!) was just so good I can not truly put it into words.

Needless to say I was a few lbs heavier leaving than when I arrived and was left wondering why we didn't do the same thing, such a great social evening.

If you are Indian and having a party and would like a complete stranger, (who is an entertaining character at the worst of times) to attend and share your food I would be very happy to hear from you.

kindest regards Tim T

I am very lucky that I visit India at least once a year. I have always enjoyed UK based Indian food but believe me, when you taste the same thing in India the taste is totally different. I have eaten in all forms of Establishments from 5 star hotels to one evening out at the Delhi racecourse where we ate a meal of fantastic India home cooked food surrounded by things that creep around in the dark (rats), horses, bats etc and the whole area was illuminated by 2 60watt bulbs. Never have I suffered from any tummy problems and would recommend Indian food to anyone.

Yes I do, provided I am eating it in either Bombay, Madras, Delhi or Calcutta.

The Indian food served in some of our restaurants in Europe and the U.S.A.is not the true authentic food that one enjoys in India.

Further, in India, its quite rare that you will hear people order food by numbers. I've seldom ever heard anyone in a decent restaurant ask for a number 23, a 34 and a 56!!!

I love Indian food, but not the sh*t they serve in restaurants, I just love eating round my friend houses where they have proper home cooked indian food that I have never seen in a restaurant.

I know that I like the milder curries (Korma, Kashmiri but with pineapple NOT banana!) that are sold in Britain. I believe this is anglicised Indian food, perhaps not the most authentic food. This is the only contact with Indian food I have had, but it tastes nice!

I love indian food. Its so spicy and juicy especially the chicken and vegetable dishes. I even tried some at my home and a few were really good.
