Why do heterosexual Christians recruit and tout their heterosexuality so ferociously?

Now you Christians stop being ingenuous...it doesn't fool anyone when you say, "Who me!"

Christians groom all kids for heterosexuality...they remove all mention of any alternative as much as possible...so even if they have gay kids they are only taught how to be str'8 and shown str'8 role models...these don't work for gays and so they have to start from scratch once they discover who they really are..this is what I mean by touting heterosexuality and it's very real, very wrong.

I don't know why, but I for one am sick of them flaunting their heterosexuality through such displays as holding hands in public and kissing. The other day, I was walking down the street and I saw a man with his arm around a woman, and before I knew it, he had kissed her! It was disgusting. If they would just keep it to themselves instead of shoving it in everyone's faces that would be one thing, but I don't want to know what they're doing in their bedroom!

How do they recruit? Ex-gay ministries! Yahoo Answers! The 700 Club! They're everywhere, and they're trying to make sure YOUR children turn out straight and Christian. I for one don't want my children exposed to such nonsense. I want to raise them right, understanding tradition - ancient Greek tradition, that is.

Good question! Now, I'm as tolerant as the next person; I don't care what depraved acts heterosexuals want to perform in the privacy of their own twisted homes.

But what I can't stand is when they PUSH IT INTO MY FACE. Like at work, when the secretary brazenly displays a photo of her husband and children! I don't need to see that!

Or worse, kissing in public. Eww! Don't they have any consideration?

I know, I know, being straight isn't a choice. It's genetic. It may not be their fault, but wouldn't it be better for everyone if they hid in the closet. You know, just so normal people would be more comfortable?

The ones I know that do tout hetero tendencies seem to also tout monogamy.

I think that both are the right wawy to be, but it doesn't stop them from being sinners. They just don't do the homo sin.

As for me, I have had both types of relationships. And I'm a Christian. Being hetero does not mean you're a Christian, and having leanings towards bi or homo doesn't mean that you're not.

I don't "recruit" people to be heterosexual; it's what was ordained by God! I tout it because the book of Romans (among others) says that the alternative is a sin and that those who practiced it would "reap the abomination of their own bodies." That says it all to me!

I am not sure what you mean by recruit and tout? Christians should recruit everyone no matter what sexual orientation they are. I be live Homosexual's are sinners like everyone else. It is the act of sin that make us the sinner. If you be live in the bible as being the word of God you will find the answers their.

I also don't think that heterosexuality is touted ferociously, either. We have no hetero- flags or straight pride parades.

I don't get your question. Are you hinting that homosexuality is a sin??? Well, it is. If you are gay then you are sinning and will not enter Heaven unless you repent. Those are the facts friend.
