For a few months now I have had tingling in the left side of my face (only). It was bad at first even a little painful. Now it has slowed down a little. It feels like there is a spiderweb on my face and there of course isnt. I am getting frustrated because my doctor said it will just go away and the CT Scan and MRI didnt show anything. But it has been awhile and it is affecting my mood and I had to take time off work because I am so tired. Has anyone every experienced this? I really need help so please no stupid answer this is my heath. Thank you.

It is not my eye. It is more in the cheek area.

This is really funny that you asked this. I am 9 months pregnant and I have been having this problem as well. I have been having wierd tingling like crawling sometimes even a light numbness feeling in the right side of my face. It sometimes is near my mouth like on the outside of my lips also. I thought maybe it was a tooth that I have broken in my mouth and that it was infection in my gums doing that. I have talked to my mom and she is having the same thing around her mouth area now also. She told me that her doctor told her it is from stress. I am under a tremendous amount of stress right now as well. I also looked this up on the internet and you would be happy to know that there are many people out there with the same problem. They have all said the same thing. STRESS! It is your nerves. I have had anxiety problems all of my life so I really am not surprised to hear that at all. I really does make a lot of sense. So maybe there is something that you need to change in your life to help you relax more . I am not too sure what else to suggest but I am sure it will go away. I also have had eye twitches and such in the past from stress. Stress can cause so many weird things to happen to us it is unreal. I am not a doctor but I really beleive that this is all it is. Especially since this is really the only symptoms , oh and small pains in the head with the tingling at times, they mentioned that it was the nerves as well. So I hope I have been somewhat of a help. Bye and good luck hun!

Do you have any facial tics? (A facial tic is a repetitive, spasmodic movement often involving the eyes and facial muscles.) Any other symptoms like dizziness etc? Plz ask your doctor to do these basic tests, I dont know why the CT Scan is such an abused test! Instead of doing the routine basic investigations they jump to the more hi falutin ones! These would be the tests required to find out the root cause of your problem. Till then anything is just speculation: -Blood tests such as CBC, electrolytes, thyroid function tests, and vitamin B-12 levels -Imaging studies like a CT scan of the head, CT scan of the spine, MRI of the head, or MRI of the spine -Electromyography to measure how your muscles respond to nerve stimulation -X-ray of the affected area -Lumbar puncture to assess for multiple sclerosis and other conditions -Ultrasound of neck vessels to evaluate your risk for TIA or stroke Hope that helps Rgds Lex

It may not be a skin condition. It could be neurological. Tell your internist and get tested for other conditions.

Sometimes MS is very hard to diagnose. You need both an MRI and a CAT scan of your brain. You may also need to experience a second incident. It could also be Parkinson's, or for that matter any neuroligical disorder.
