Probably not. You are sending signal to you body that it is being starved and you will start to store fat. Your body stores the fat to y=use when it thinks it is going to set any more food. You should eat at least six meals a day, A good break fast a snack of fruit of some sort or veggies and medium lunch salad or a light sand which and afternoon snack and a well balanced dinner, not cereal, you don't have to have huge portions but a little from each of the food groups is the best idea. Avoid sodas, drink lots of water or diet green. And the weight will go slowly at first but then later you should see better results. Remember 2-3 pounds per week weight lose will keep it off. If you loose to rapidly it is all going to come back. The running 2 miles per a good thing.

Cereal is good for breakfast but not so good for dinner. You should stay away from carbs after 5pm. You should eat many small meals throughout the day. It will be hard at first but you will get used to being full on little food. Keep up the exercise and have some tuna or chicken for dinner. You can still have cereal during the day but beware how much sugar is either in it or how much you put on it. If you can, run some of that two mile plan.

Thats no where near enough food. Try eating a lot of breakest a good amount for lunch and a small dinner. NOT JUST CEREAL, you need all food groups represented. To combat the amount of calories you'll be taking this way, try a stronger workout routine, go to the gym and work into a run everyday.
your best bet is go to a doctor and ask them, they can suggest something based on your current diet and health.
Either way, what youre doing now is only hurting your body.

It is not a good idea to skip meals. The body will begin to store fat as a protective measure. You are better off having about 5 small meals a day. Eating breakfast is a good habit. It's get your metabolism going. Be sure to consume throughout the day approximately half of your body weight in water. Try not to eat anything about 2 hours before you retiree. Eat food from all the food groups and cut down on empty calories. If you are a soda drinker, you are adding a lot of empty calories. Lots of fruits and vegetable will help you get the weight off faster and limiting your intake of red meats (temporarily). Lose the weight slow and you will tend to keep it off.

Only if you're burning more calories then you're consuming everyday.
The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity. Get a fitness calculator that you can put on your cell phone and computer. This will allow you to easily calculate this formula, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as white potatoes) and drink lots of water.
Do not try fad diets or diet pills. Here is an excellent food pyramid that anyone can follow: http://www.rayandterry.com/html/images/PyramidLRG.gif?osCsid=26a424be471d1337e7c2f105d5c64d9d
*3) Exercise on most days by doing cardiovascular training and/or resistance training activities.
Read a book or find a certified trainer to make sure your doing all resistance training exercises correctly. A great book to buy that teaches you the resistance training basics is “Weight Training for Dummies”. A superb magazine to buy with excellent resistance training routines that will not get you bored is "Muscle and Fitness". Signup for the free newsletter.
A good book to buy that teaches you the cardiovascular training basics is “Fitness for Dummies”.
*4) Get plenty of sleep. Sleep experts say most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety.
*5) Educate yourself continually on health issues and make a life long commitment to good health. A great free publication is “Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005”. A superb book to read is “You The Owner’s Manual”. An excellent periodic publication is the “Nutrition Action Health Letter”. A reputable test you can take to measure your biological age is at http://realage.com
Look at all areas where you can enhance your health. For example, make improvements in the quality of the air you breathe. Review outdoor air quality forecasts where you live and get an indoor air purifier. Email me if you want a good indoor air purifier recommendation and if you have other questions.

You probably aren't getting enough calories for your body to sustain itself and it may become very hard for you to lose weight because your metabolism will slow down and try to conserve the calories it already has.

doubtful, try adding some fruits and veggies for lunch instead of skipping it, and mix up your workout a couple times a week.
