Out of all the little chats you had is there anything you remember that she likes. If you do that's good. It sounds you really like this girl, I hope you are willing to invest and be a bit more patient( you've waited 1 year). Try to get her on neutral grounds like out of the office. See if you can bump into her and from one of the things she told you that she likes try to get the conversation gowing.E.g Cinema - film - Get 2 tickets. Singer - concert get 2 tickets. You can always sell them if it doesn't work. But please don't try tO get into her knickers on the first, this is where you be patient and enjoy the ride. Don't go thinking too much about the future.

Try to get into some sort of small talk and mention a story about an ex girlfriend or something, they will usually counter that with a story about an ex to show they are single or a mention of a boyfriend to show they are not single.

It's not easy, I know. Find out something she likes - an actor, a group/food....get her to talk about it and one day casually mention the film/concert/restaurant saying you will be going there, you could go together, that kind of thing.
This is very delicate, do not listen to those who simply say, ask her. You'll lose her!

Be careful cause work relationships can get very tricky.. If you two ever brake up you will be stuck seeing each other every day. Would make it very hard for hearts to heal.

Why not get a group from work to go out to see the a film or for a drink. Then ask her if she like to go. Then you see if you like her out side of work and if you do then why not ask her.

Never date anyone you work with. You like her b/c she is there all day. There is someone else outside of work. And also makes it very uneasy if you two would hookup and breakup.

Not really a good idea to date someone you work with...when things go sour, you still have to see each other every day.
