Absolutely not! Take him to the store where it was purchased and let him choose something else. Then tell the person who gave him the gift that this was something he already had, but that he had a great time shopping for something else, and he loves their gift!

No. If he already has 1, no 1 will blame u 4 returning it. What's the sense in having 2 of the same toy anyway?

NO, not at all. The same thing happen to my son last weekend for his birthday he got the same toy he got at Christmas...we had to return it not once but twice. Ppl usually get something, to get something they don't check to make sure it's not what the kid has or if they will even play with it. They would be fine knowing that you took it back to get something else the kid needed.

It depends. A couple of times my son got two of the same gift, and I take one up to my parent's house so he can play with it up there...epsecially when he spends the night so he has something familiar. You could save it and donate it at Christmas time to Toys for Tots, or take it back and get something he doesn't have.

No, just take it back to the store and exchange it for a toy that he doesn't have. If you just want the money back and need the receipt, explain to the giver that you love the gift and are thankful for it, but he already has one and would like to get something else.

No, it is the thought that counts, but keeping a toy your child already has is just stupid, return it and buy him a different toy with the money, it is something he will use, and something he dose not already have.

I would exchange it for something else he wants. None is any the wiser. If the person comes over and sees the toy that they bought him, they won't know it is what you already had. And your son won't know the difference either.

no it isn't wrong at all. If he already has that toy then return it and get something else your son would want.
