EVERY single time that actual historians and archaeologists have asked to see a SHRED of evidence to support his inane claim, he refuses or has some new excuse or lie to avoid actually having to produce such proof?
Now, wouldn't he be shouting it from the rooftops? Wouldn't he want to hand proof over to so-called "real" archaeologists and historians. Wouldn't a part-time treasure hunter be the first to produce proof if only to turn the archaelogical world on it's ear, not to mention bring a measure of proof to believers worldwide.
So, why then does he have an excuse or lie evertime an honest (and many of these people are christians themselves with a sincere desire to autheticate his findings not discredit) researcher comes to examine his find?
Simple. He's a liar and a fraud. The link below will show the MANY outlandish lies he's told about what he's "discovered".
Honestly, with people like this on your side, it's no wonder we consider you all flakes and liars...

I can tell by your questions you have a desire to make people open minded and rational, honed with an incredulity that people can believe this stuff. If they found an ark of the covenant would it have the ten commandments in it? I find it embarrassing that people actually believe god carves these lame commandments into stone. You and I could brainstorm and in 10 minutes come up with much better commandments.I admire what you are doing but by some of the inane aswers your getting ( I know they fervently believe these quips.) I feel its a lost cause. Good Luck.

The Durupinar site is an intriguing phenomenon that was discovered in 1959 by a Turkish army captain. It lies within the ancient Urartu territory, as one would expect of Noah's ark, and it is even roughly the same length as one would expect the ark to be.

On the other hand, the Durupinar site is not the width of the ark as specified by the biblical account, nor does it fit the Bible's description of the ark's resting place--as one of the higher elevations in its region. In addition, Wyatt s characterization of the small difference of the carbon content within and without the formation is proof only of his lack of geological training, as is his attempt to rewrite all geological understanding to explain why his "pre-flood" wood has no growth rings. His reports of the results of his subsurface radar have been disputed, even by sympathetic scientists who have attempted them.

In short, Wyatt's "train-load" of evidence falls far short of his claims. He does not even show his readers the train, much less, the train-load of evidence. The Durupinar site is undoubtedly a natural formation. Noah's ark has yet to be found.

Not only was he a fraud, but he's a dead fraud! I have it on good information that dead people don't provide proof even better than live ones. That his organization is just as bad as he was shows he left a legacy of lies and deceit behind him to continue on in his stead.

The ark is no longer on the earth. It is currently in heaven. It will be revealed from there when Jesus returns.

Rev. 11:19 (NKJV)
Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.

Its not possible to offer "proof".
Even if he has a wooden "ark" and there's evidence it once held animals for a long time in a terrible flood. Thats not proof.

Its only coincidence. I think he knows that and wants to contain his offering to those who already believe.

He can't produce proof because he is dead. He died shortly after he made his findings public. I have looked at his claims, it is possible he told the truth. He may have lied-no one knows.

I forget which Nazi said it, but one of Hitler's cronies said:

"It's easier to tell the lie than it is to refute it."

The religious have always depended on that.

He can't prove it because none of it exists. He just wants you to have faith that it does. Have you no faith?
