How have some of you people quit... I am looking to quit for my boyfriend and cause I have no money...how

you can do it! that is to do without one...
cold turkey is best....
however if your needing help pick up and chew on a straw...
or contact your local hospital and usually they have free stop smoking programs that will help you with patches. tell them you need to stop and you have no money.
hey if you got this far you should pat yourself on the back and keep going. deciding to quit is the toughest part.
for some it's harder than heron addiction.
smoking has caused you most likely to not have money just think about all the money you'll have in a few weeks, to do something like spend a weekend together in a nice fresh non smoking hotel room...set a goal and have him to help you through this tough time...if he is really into you... he'll do whatever it takes..it'll make your relationship stronger....No you may not have one.....

read "the easy way to quit smoking" or "the only way to quit smoking permanently" by allen carr. i've been off them four years (and we're talking a 40 a day habit) because of the first book alone. quite an easy read. and you get to keep smoking while you read, which lets face it, every smoker wants to hear. i know about seven other people who read it and quit literally overnight. i am not joking. check it out. he also has day clinic you can go to (depending on where you are of course) and you quit in a day. it's something like 700 euro, but well worth it. no patches, no substitues, literally just talking.
if i can do it (and i have the discipline of a seven year old in a sweet shop.) ANYONE can . go for it!! i also made a bit of money on the side betting a friend, so it's win win. (er, except for the friend......) good luck!!

Just quit. Not having any money should be a good incentive. Think of all the money you have wasted on those horrible things. If you had that money back, you wouldn't be broke now!

I quit last August (for good) after smoking for 23 years. It takes 3 days for the nictotine to leave your body. Drink plenty of water. Just be careful not to trade one addiction for another...like food. LOL Yes, it's worth it. You will feel and look better. And soon the smell of others smoking will gross you out.

Just try to remember it will pass. I still want a smoke from time to time, and I've been smoke free for almost two years.
I don't know if it will work for you, but I use suckers because it helps with the hand to mouth urges.

course u can have one if u want it's not illegal!
to give up firstly i suggest to think of reasons why you wnt to give up - if its for someone else you'll never do it, you can only give up when YOU are ready.... thats my experience!

You can have one. But NEVER come to me asking for me to pay your medical bills. And don't expect me to feel sorry for you either. You are addicted and it is hard to quit. Good luck.
