Well, Brianna, why do you allow the enemy to constantly tempt you with lies and give him a foothold in your life by insulting His children?

Well, at least your not judging an entire group of people by the actions of a few. Makes you sound like a hateful bigot.
There is nothing wrong with Harry Potter or the Da vinci code, both are decent works of fantasy. If anybody has a problem with Harry Potter then they have too much time on their hands. As far as the Davinci Code, some people were a little upset because Dan Brown said several times that the stuff in the book was real, which it isn't of course, but most can see he was trying to stir up controversy to sell more books. Nothing to worry about.

When you make a blanket statement encompassing all people, it's usually incorrect. I understand how you feel about books being banned - I am against anyone denying someone the ways or means to make a decision for themselves. The Harry Potter books are popular, (and yes, I've read them and seen the movies), because they strike a chord within all of us - the underdog winning out, especially at a vulnerable time in our lives, the teenage years. The magic is incidental in the books. Be that as it may, magic is put under the heading of things that are evil in the Bible. To totally understand why, you would need to read the Bible yourself. That would give you an understanding of why some people, including some Christians, object to the Harry Potter books.

You did not ask a question at all.Rather you took up space on the question portion of the web site,to state your objections to Christianity:
It is obvious you do not know the Bible: Forget buying books from PTL or the 700 club. Go buy yourself a (King James Bible) which includes both the Old Testament, and the New Testament: And read what the Bible says about the Occult or associating with familiar spirits(dead intities):
One more thing, the next time you feel the need to vent, start your own geocities, and spew all you want too.

You mistake the views of some Christians for the views of all Christians. No person has such an authority. There is no person who speaks for all people. I do not know where you live, but there is no such thing as forbidden knowledge or ideas. Any person promoting such an idea would have Hell to pay from me...in debate alone!!! The 700 Club is about money. They already have a lot to answer for. Keep watching and see what becomes of those creatures. (I am a non-Christian believer in god)

These people are misled. Harry Potter is a book on Great Love and magic. Whats wrong with a little magic in our lives. Becides God gave us free will . Gods wants you to choose to have fellowship with Him. Gods love cannot be forced on anyone and The 700 club is wrong for doing so. Another Group of corupt individuals.

"christians" don't. A specific "nutcase" you encountered on an Internet site did.
Please learn to discern the difference between an individual, and the loose aggregation of roughly two billion people he may or may not draw from.

That is true... at least for hinduism. Missionaries have spread so much misinformation and bad propaganda against hinduism that common westners also do not know what hinduism is !
Perhaps they know their philosophical base is very weak and if people read about Hinduism or Buddhism they may get attracted to those great philosophies.
So in the name of Satan... the try to keep people away from Truth

If fame is your aim, the easiest way is to tarnish a religion. In the form of a book it can make a lot of money too. So did Dan Brown, Kazantzakis, Salman Rushdie etc. etc.
I don't belong to any religion. But, I feel every writer should create his own characters for novels and stories and should not tarnish peoples faiths and beliefs.

Because Christians can't just stay in their own religion. They have to challenge every bit of free wil possible. They start with books, then movies, then telivison.
Its ridiculious.
I have nothing against Christians or catholics or whatever, but seriously people.. stay in your own religion and let people live their own lives without a church butting in.
[And I find it funny that the 700 club is on at midnight on the family channel. No one else would put them on earlier because NO ONE IS LISTENING TO THAT RAMBILING BULLSHIT!]
Religion is the opium of the massess.

why don't we let every one do what they want?you must have all the answers.why dont we let kids read playboy too.some people think its ok.or let them do drugs some people think thats ok too.so who is wrong and who is right.are they "nutcases"too. look at this world now,we need people to tell us whats right and whats wrong because on our own we would kill each other and act like a bunch of cavemen where only the strongest would survive.open your mind a little bit and dont be so fast to put people down that dont feel the same as you!
