Since u don't wanna fix problems, i think u'd better go for a Japanese car... You'll never regret... A used Japanese car can be as good as a brand new europian or american car...Try a Nissan Altima / Maxima, Toyota Camry or a Honda Accord / Civic... Hyundai Sonata is also way more reliable than most of the europian and american cars... It is a good brand but make sure you buy a 2004+ Hyundai... Try a Nissan, Toyota, Honda or a Subaru.. You'll never regret.. I've been using Japanese cars for a long time and they never let me down...

For reliability & a totally bland drive - get a Toyota or a Honda.
For a bit of fun get a caddy Catera (Vauxhall Omega elite in UK). V6 3.0 RWD & plenty of toys. Not without it's known problems, but all in all - better than the usually boring North American rubbish...try to get one with european springs & dampers - the US ones are waaaaay too soft & ruins the handling. You should get a nice 2002/3 model for that money.

Nissan, Subaru, Toyota are all good cars. If you can, purchase an alternative fuel car such as a Hybrid or one that operates on Bio-diesel...

I would look for a nice used Honda or a Toyota. they get great gas mileage and are very safe.
