Hitler was Catholic and not only was he never excommunicated, no Nazi was.

Hitler regarded himself as a Catholic until he died. "I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so," he told Gerhard Engel, one of his generals, in 1941. For some reason, Catholics are not eager to claim Hitler.

Hitler was baptized Catholic as a young boy but didn't practice the religion.) Venturi discussed the possibility with the Pope(to have him excumunnicated...it was mussolini's idea) but it is unclear what response was made......Hitler was born and raised in a Catholic familyHowever, as an adult, Hitler specifically rejected the Catholic Church, as well as Christianity in general. He described himself as "a complete pagan". AND HERE IS THE ICING ON THE CAKE.....It is unknown whether Hitler was formally excommunicated or not, but it doesn't matter. Hitler was already excommunicated ipso facto under the canon law of the Catholic Church for his numerous sinful crimes. He could only have returned to the Catholic faith, even assuming that he would ever have wanted to, by having his excommunication removed by the Pope himself.

Hitler was't catholic. The church didn't bar John Kerry from Communion, one single priest did.

He died a Roman Catholic. After the war the Christian church published a lot of nonsense about how he secretly was a pagan and hated Christianity, but that's baloney. Hitler was both publicly and privately a dedicated Christian who believed he had a divine purpose sanctioned by Jesus Christ and God.

It is a disgrace that the Church organisation never excommunicated Hitler.
If they had done so this could have shattered the morale of half the German army and brought the end of the war forward by weeks as a result, thus saving countless lives.

The Pope of the time was a corrupt one and actually pushed Hitler on to do more of the killings. that was still when the Catholic church believed that the Jews killed Christ.

Today's churches will excommunicate Jesus and worship Hitler.

Considering the Catholic Church and Fascism have so much in common, should this really surprise anyone?

This only seems odd to you because you are trying to apply logic to illogical actions.

Stop doing that. It will give you a headache.
